Question? Are you addicted to DIY? One of the things things that the DIY culture has done is make us think we can do everything as good as the experts? Often we will spend almost as much money and gads of our precious time and energy trying to figure out how to do it like the pros. From house repairs to exercise to costuming and beyond, we have become a society obsessed with DIY and I think often to our own detriment! As much as I can respect wanting to dig in and figure things out, I think it’s super important to recognize your strengths and where you should lean in to the experts for help. This was huge change for me over the years as I used to try to do everything myself. If I thought I could save money, or even if I was being a little stubborn that I could figure it out just for the sake of it, I would go down every rabbit hole trying to DIMyself. A HUGE shift I made was getting in to a more abundant mindset and instead of thinking I HAVE to pay someone for their special skill set, I think this is so awesome I GET to support this person doing their job or sharing their expertise with me. Letting go of the resistance to sharing my abundance with someone and being grateful for their service came the trust and power in my own worth and value as well. That to me is pivotal in having an abundance mindset. So think about it? Where can you free up some energetic ram and allow an expert to take the reigns. Especially in a time where everyone chronically complains about not having enough time. Where are you using yours that would be better suited for someone else. If it’s becoming a source of energy suck and there is a better option then consider how you may be able to work out a solution beyond you.
