Guys. I’m serious. All American is a really important show. Not just a good show, but an important show. 

And I’m not going to lie to you. It’s kind of a miracle the show got a second season. Ratings weren’t great, and luckily The CW believed in the show enough to let it thrive (as most shows do in Season 2). 

The CW did this for a few shows this year (All American, Charmed, In The Dark), but as someone who has seen all three of those, I can genuinely tell you this is the ONE that actually DESERVED it, 100%, through and through. 

People beg and scream and yell for regular teen dramas. For character driven shows that take the time to develop relationships and dynamics and individuals. 

THIS IS THAT SHOW. This is Friday Night Lights. This is The OC. This IS One Tree Hill. This is what you wanted. But it’s a diverse cast. Isn’t that also what you want? 

You say you don’t want a blinding white cast, so why aren’t you tuning in?

You say you want a show that actually thinks and follows through on storylines so why aren’t you tuning in?

You say you want a show that says something about things like racial injustice and racial relations and socio economic differences and white privilege so why aren’t you tuning in?

This show has absolutely everything you want. And the cast is NOT being shy about letting you know that tuning in live would help him IMMENSELY when it comes to where they stand with the network. So please do it. Please give it a chance. Please try this show. Please. 

Shows like this need to prove they can hold their own on network TV or we’re going to lose them forever. And considering the demand I see (or even receive in my inbox) for them, I don’t understand why this program isn’t WILDLY popular. Why Riverdale can be such a craze, but not a show that is literally everything you say you wish Riverdale was. 

The cast is still hot you guys. Just as hot, just as talented, and they are being given, dare I say it, even BETTER MATERIAL TO WORK WITH, WITH MUCH STRONGER SCRIPTS. 

This isn’t about me. All American gets canceled i’ll be assigned another show to cover. This is about the quality of TV as we know it. 

If you don’t watch Yellowstone … you have to if you like a good Cowboy show. After Longmire I am glad that I found it.
