That little moment when she nods and confirms that she’s okay and he feels her nod and can finally breathe that sigh of relief he had been holding in since they got separated and smile into her neck because she’s here, she’s alive, and she’s in his arms and she’s going to be okay. Because today wasn’t going to be like those other days when he lost Liam, even after he thought he was saved, or when he lost Milah, and he just needs to hold her and check and make sure now that everything is okay because he can’t believe it. Because he’s had so many other days where he’s lost loved ones that he’s smiling to himself because today is not that day. (and how can you not smile with him)
