From incident to incident, there she was, taunting him as she slipped away like a shadow. If his damned gun hadn’t turned back into a pea shooter, he could have stopped her the first time!

This day had dragged on far, far too long for his liking, and his last ounces of energy were spent getting back home. It was only once he threw himself down onto an empty chair that he properly analysed the room, catching an all-too familiar silhouette as he shot straight back up.

Shigure knocked lightly on the door to the room. As she was now staying in this room, she felt it only natural and courteous to greet her new roommates. Unconsciously, she began to stroke her hair ornament as she waited for the door to be opened. "I wonder if he or she is out," she whispered to herself.

An enforced no-smoking rule was quite possibly the worst thing to give to Spike, even though the sign indicating it had quickly and conveniently been ‘lost’ when he arrived. While Lupin seemed used to it, the neighbours seemed a little less pleased. He had been begrudgingly sent outside, but hardly expected to find someone so small - and in such strange clothes - at his door when he came back. It didn’t seem like she’d noticed him yet, so...

Necromantic energy flowed throughout her body and it felt exhilarating to have her powers back. She blasted rays of death and decay toward the vile creatures while raising undead reinforcement to make things easier. Ever so graceful, she moved as if she was dancing. Her fur shawl moved along with each step of her tall, heeled boots.

This was one of the few times she’d admit that she was late to the party. She was too concerned with her own agenda of trying to planeswalk back that she didn’t really give any concern to what was happening with the rest of the city. There were beacons of light scattered throughout the area and she had no idea what they were for.

Only when they turned red she realized something was off.

It annoyed her that she couldn’t take control of these skeletal creatures. You won’t listen to me?, she mused in her head while crumbling a ghoul to dust. Meanwhile, a wretched goblin was closing in on her and imbued with power, she threw her fist at it.

– But midway through the punch, her power fades. Her zombies wither away. Her stance stutters, and a gunshot rung in her ears.

Turning to meet the other, she pushes his hand away. It didn’t cross her mind to say thank you for not letting that thing rip my face off. “Tell me what’s going on. Now.”

Ooh, spooky! Someone knew how to stick to an aesthetic and their special effects, didn’t they? Not even the girl from Big Shot was this dedicated, and she was paid to look like a cowgirl. Normally, he’d say that he knew better than to piss someone like this off, but considering that whatever magic she had was broken at the minute, he was ready to take his chances.

However, any sense of familiarity was very quickly offset by the uprising of strange, skeletal creatures. He’d seen some strange stuff at home, but an army of the undead was not one of them. He didn’t have very long to come to terms with it either, having to rush through his confusion to shoot and stop them approaching. Apparently one of the few here that didn’t have any special powers, he had no reason to worry about any limit but the bullets left on him.

Someone to his side made to use a power of theirs, but time was not on their side; the five minutes had already passed and with it, their abilities. He only had to read the surprised expression on the person’s face to guess that posing like that without anything happening wasn’t what they’d meant to do, so he raised his gun and disposed of the threat himself. The bullet struck uncomfortably close to the person, and he would be lying if he didn’t aim there just to see their face.

Spike actually learned to fight before he joined the Red Dragons, while he was still growing up on the streets on Mars. However, his main principle of keeping calm to control any excessive force wasn’t even a spark in his mind yet, so his style was much more brutal but far less efficient.
