The only movie she was appropriate for was madrasapattinam, because her character was a white woman. Now everything else, i just don’t understand. 

Indian cinema confuses me, They take a beautiful dusky skinned actress like amala paul, whitewash her with makeup, give her fake green contacts. Then they bring an actress like amy jackson, give her a tan to get her to amala paul’s colour, put black contacts on her green eyes.

Okay, i’ve got tons of movies that are my favorites, but i’ll just mention the ones i can watch over & over again.

Iruvar , This one is really good, its based on real life events of very prominent people in the tamil film and political history.

Raavanan, Another mani ratnam movie, a very different take on the Ramayana. 

Vidiyum munn - A thriller, very gripping and interesting story, great performances. This movie is revolves around a prostitute who tries to save a child. It will be nothing like what you expect.

Jigarthanda - A crime drama film, amazing cinematography, and some very funny moments. 

Anbe sivam - If you want to watch just one film from this list, watch this one. It will touch your heart.

Nayagan - Based on a real story of the Indian gangster, Varadarajan mudaliar, who rose to fame in the 1960′s. 

As you can tell, I’m unabashedly a mani ratnam fan.
