Zahra was inside Joey's Pizza and she was sitting at the table, enjoying her gooey cheese slice. Zahra looked around as she set down the pizza and then saw another individual who looked like they were looking for somewhere to sit. It was a small pizza joint but it was exceptionally busy today so she decided to be kind and she spoke up, "I don't know if you're looking for somewhere to sit, but if you are then the other side of the booth is open, I came here by myself." She motioned to the other side of the table.

Mateo visited Ready Player One at least once every two weeks, he'd do it more often if he could manage his time better. He looked over to the person wo was next to the pinball machine and smiled at the question. "I'm alright. I wouldn't say I am like a professional, but not the worst either." Mat chuckled, "I guess we'll just have to get a game going so you can come to your own conclusion, hm?"
"I guess so. I don't mind that idea." He said to the other gentleman as he looked at him and then smiled wide. "What do you normally play when you come here? Anything specific? We can take turns doing things that the other enjoys." Sebastian suggested to the handsome man that was willing to try pinball with him.

Sebastian was super excited to be in an adult arcade. He had spent a lot of time racing cars, trying to win stuffed animals and now he was looking for some people to see if they could beat him in pinball, he looked over to the person tho his side. "How good are you in pinball. Obviously i'm asking for research purposes." He said with a big smile on his face.
Eden turned when she heard movement, her smile already forming before Olivia even reached her.
“Olivia Stone,” she echoed, extending a hand as her own name badge caught the light. “Dr. Eden Santos. It’s really nice to meet you.”
Her tone was warm, welcoming in a way that didn’t feel rehearsed—it felt real, like she actually meant it. Because she did.
She gestured down the hallway, walking at an easy pace beside her. “We’re just doing a routine check-up today, right? Nothing too scary. I promise no lectures unless you tell me you’ve been living off Red Bull and denial.”
She glanced over with a small grin, eyes warm with amusement. “Unless that is the case—then we might need to talk.”
She pushed open the exam room door and stepped aside, letting Olivia enter first. “Go ahead and get comfortable.”
"Nice to meet you as well Dr. Santos." She replied with a smile as she looked at her. As the doctor gestured for her to walk down the hallway, she went for it and then nodded. "Yeah, nothing crazy. Just like the yearly gig where you tell me that I can do better with my lifestyle but ya know, nothing super serious going on so I guess I don't need to worry about that." Olivia replied to he doctor and then she laughed. "I mean we might need to talk. Not because of Red Bull." Olivia replied before she got into the room and sat up on the table and looked at her. "Might be red wine and denial, but at least that's not caffeinated, right?" @theuniverseofchaos
Carson knew Sebastian had been having a rough time since coming home. He'd supported Sebastian when he had wanted to go into the military. Not necessarily Carson's jam, but it was admirable that he'd wanted to help people. Carson had wanted that too. His way to serve had been in a fire helmet and turnouts. Sebastian's had been in camo.
"Hey, I'm just asking the question," Carson sai with a shrug. He ended up between the two of them pretty often. He was sure their mom was also back home trying to talk down his dad when he got too worked up over it. "You know he just wants what's best for you. Same for me. He just doesn't have the best way of going about it." Their father had high expectations, and one of his sons working as a barista didn't meet them.
"I know you're just asking the question and I know that you have all good intentions when you ask it. I totally understand. It's just super frustrating that after serving my country I can't just come home and not be a super hero by just relaxing. Like I enjoy being a barista and I always have to fit into this specific image of what a productive son is." He said as he shook his head. "I know he wants the best for me, but is it his best or mine? And again, you don't have to answer that because I don't want to put you in the middle but it's almost like he doesn't want to look bad by the choices I make. @cowboytumbleweeds

"Eh, I wouldn't call them monsters. They're just kids. It's all our first time on this earth, you know?" Vince says with a shrug, pausing to take a sip of his cappuccino. "It must be nice, all being together. My family's all spread out."
"Well then you're a better person than me because I have no problem saying that my children were monsters at times when they were growing up. Love them, but they were." She laughed softly. "I'm sorry to hear that. Do you guys still at least communicate with one another or get together for holidays or something?" Olivia asked curiously.
Starter For: @beaxtifxlthings (Zahra)
Location: Cake Decorating at Bon Appatreat
Toby had done very limited baking in their life. Their experience was limited to whatever they were made to do for home economics classes. Cake decorating had sounded fun, though, so they had bought a ticket on a whim. It was artistic, so hopefully they wouldn't be too terrible. Drawing with pens was surely a lot different to using icing, though. "Hey, is this spot taken?" Toby asked, walking up to a bench next to someone who also seemed to have come alone. "Sup? I'm Toby. You ever been to one of these before?"
Zahra tried to ge tout there and do more things when she wasn't working. Something that was a blessing but also a curse to her was that she was a perfectionist and she wanted to get better at her cake decorating. She could decorate a plate at the restaurant, but when it came to baking she was far more inexperienced. She was sitting in the class and she was waiting for it to start but it looked like there were about ten minutes before class to start. Another traits of hers, always early. She looked over when she saw the other individual coming in and speaking to her. "Hi! I'm Zahra. And nope, that spot is completely open." She replied. "I've never done one of these specifically about cake decorating but I've helped give one on cooking and whatnot." @cowboytumbleweeds
"Eh, he's fine." Indy shrugs, reaching for a glass once Sebastian places his order. "Ya want me to start a tab, or just the one tonight?" They ask, offering Sebastian a smile.
"Oh I'm sure." Sebastian responded as he looked at the other who was going to be making his drink. He pulled out his card and then set it on the counter, "I think it's going to be a tab kind of night. My father and I got into it so I'm not sure just one drink is going to be enough." Sebastian replied to Indy as he smiled. @halfwcytohell
"zahra!" if his hands weren't so dirty from dealing with a car he would've hugged her but they're already used to it given how many times she's been here, so just a warm greeting is enough. "of course, i'd love to. i'm sure it's nothing my talented skills can't fix." he smiled. "would you like some coffee or are you not staying?" he offered, already propping the hood of her car to see if the issue is something that was clear or he needed a bit more investigating.
"Oh I know that your talented skills really can fix this issue. I mean there's a reason that I keep bringing her here to you. I know that you'll solve the issue." She replied. "Is it going to be burnt like last time? If so, I'll take a water but I'm definitely going to hangout. I don't have much going on today so I don't mind hanging out and catching up on my social media since I don't tend to do it all that much anymore." Zahra replied. @ofheartss
open to: everyone! (@clearwaterstarters)
location: lucky penny saloon
"For the last time...I'm not dancin' on the bar. This ain't Coyote Ugly." Indy signs, shaking their head at the slightly drunk patron at the bar before turning to the person waiting for their attention. "Ignore Frank, he's mostly harmless. What can I get started for you?"
Sebastian couldn't believe that there was someone asking Indy to get up on the bar and dance. He knew that they were never going to do that. Sebastian couldn't help but laugh as he watched the scene play out in front of him. "Yeah, mostly." He said as he shook his head to the side a bit. "I'll take a whiskey sour please." He requested from them. He was a frequent visitor of Lucky Penny Saloon as he liked the ambiance of it. @halfwcytohell

The lights buzzed softly overhead—typical clinic noise, barely noticeable now. Eden Santos stood at the nurses’ station, white coat unbuttoned, tablet in hand, pen behind her ear like always.
Three patients down. One coffee. Zero patience left.
“Room three needs a CBC panel and a follow-up in two weeks,” she said without looking up. “If they skip again, I’m showing up at their house with a blood pressure cuff and a guilt trip.”
That got a laugh, which was the point. Humor kept people comfortable. Easier than admitting she didn’t let go of things—not patients, not memories, not him.
She paused for half a second, something flickering behind her eyes, then pushed it down and turned toward the waiting room.
Olivia was due for her regular check up. She had to find a new doctor and she heard good things about Haven Health and how well their doctors treated the patients. She was sitting in the waiting room and she saw that the woman was turning back around and announced that they were ready for the next patient. She stood up and headed over to the woman. "Hi there, my name is Olivia Stone." She said to her and then flashed her a smile. @theuniverseofchaos
who: open (0/5) @clearwaterstarters
where: bella's books
Clearwater had always been home, but within the city limits, there were very few selected places where Ishmael truly felt like he belonged. Bella's Books was one of them. For as long as he could remember, the bookshop had been his place of refuge, somewhere he could curl up in a corner and be unbothered for a few hours. As he aged, it seemed as if life allowed for much fewer of that cherished uninterrupted time. Still, Ishmael made a habit of carving out a few hours each week to sit and take in the tranquility of it all. Self care. It was his way of justifying the fact that he took home a new book every week. “How about a deal,” he said, turning to the person seated a few feet away from him, a desperate effort to break out of his own shell – something his publicist insisted could only help the sale of books. “You tell me about the book you’re currently reading and I’ll buy you a coffee.”
Zahra was a huge reader and she was always zooming through more books. It was something that helped her relax after the night she'd have at work. Not that work ever stressed her out all the much, but it was nice to come home and just relax the mind with a book until she was inevitably falling asleep. She was in Bella's Books and she had three items in her hand and she heard someone speaking to her and she turned. "Whoa, alright. I mean if you want to fall down that rabbit hole then you're totally in for it. I actually just finished reading The Glass Castle. I've read it many times but it's one that I enjoy rereading. I do have the newest Hunger Games book in my hand though so I am really excited for it. It's been hard to find anywhere. Also, I have The Housemaid in my hand. I know a lot of people were talking about it and I didn't ever try it." @ofwishfulthinking
jack found himself under a car, fixing what seems to be an oil problem. right now on a slow day, it was just him and another person in the shop but they were in the back at the moment so jack was filling the silence with music. as he was putting the bucket underneath the oil so it could spill inside, he heard a car come by. "i'll be with you in a sec!" he called, making sure the oil was filling properly before getting out from underneath the car and greeting his new customer with a smile. "afternoon, what can i do you for?"
Zahra was a regular visitor to Capstone Auto as she had an older car that had a lot of meaning to her. However though it tended to have a lot of issues with it so she had become acquaintances with Jack at the auto shop. She nodded as she heard him speaking about being with her in a moment. "Well you're never going to believe this." Zahra started, "But there's something going on with the car it's making some weird noise and the check engine light is on so if you have some time, I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look at it." @ofheartss
"Whoa, slugger," Carson said with a chuckle as his brother swung the bat with a force that could've knocked out The Incredible Hulk. The ball went whizzing through the air, smacking the other end of the cage with authority. "Okay, okay, showing 'em who's boss." Carson sipped his water from the sidelines. Clearly Sebastian had some stuff he needed to get out. "Tell me you're not pretending to swing at dad's head. He told me you two got into it the other night."
Sebastian was glad that Carson had invited him out to the batting cage. He enjoyed getting his aggression out and Sebastian and his father had gotten into it once again about how he was working as a barista since he had been discharged from the military. He was tired of having the same conversation over and over and he was happy with his low stress life and planting roots in Clearwater. Anyways, he hit the ball and then heard Carson's comment and he laughed and then shrugged. "Yeah, well I'm not gonna tell you then because I don't know if you want to hear the answer." Sebastian held the bat down and then kicked it lightly with his foot. @cowboytumbleweeds
"I have three. They're eight, six and one." Vince replies, smiling at the thought of his children. Moving to pick up his drink when the order is called, he makes his way over to one of the open tables, waiting for Olivia to join him. "Yeah? That's great. Are your kids grown? Not that that ever stops you from needing your parents."
"Wow congratulations to you. They're so little that's awesome. I'm hoping you're enjoying it for the most part. I know they can be little monsters here and there but you will definitely miss it one day, trust me." Olivia explained to Vince as she moved with him to the open table and she sat down. "Yes, they are grown, the youngest is twenty-seven. And no, plus I definitely need them too." @halfwcytohell

Sebastian was born in Clearwater but his birth parents took off when he was four years old and CPS got involved, removing him from them. He was placed in foster care until The West family found him and they fostered him for a bit before adopting him.
Sebastian wasn't the best in school as he liked to mess around and wreck havoc instead of working on his studies. He was on the football and baseball team.
When he was fifteen, he realized that he was attracted to boys and when he came out, all his friends and family were supportive and were there for him. Sebastian didn't have any real skills and didn't know what he was going to do in life so he decided as senior came closer and closer to ending that he was going to enlist into the military.
He was in the military for ten years before he had an injury that caused him to hit his head and he was discharged with an honorable discharge. He came back home to Clearwater and was lost in life so he decided to head to Frisky Kitty Cafe and pour coffee until he could figure it out. Turns out this was something that he was good at and he's enjoyed it ever since so he stayed.

biography:
Zahra was the oldest of the bunch and that’s something that her parents never let her forget. They were always busy with their rich friends and out doing things. When she was old enough to take care of her siblings, it’s like it was all she did for a long time. Eventually though, her siblings were old enough to take care of herself and she could be a real kid. She had friends in school, but she never got to spend a lot of time with them due to her babysitting duties. She didn’t know what happened, but there was one day where her parents just clicked and they became very family oriented and they did a lot more things together.
As a teen she was following her mother around the kitchen, baking with her and then she was grilling with her father as well. At first it was believed that Zahra was going to go into politics because of her strong opinions and how she didn’t care about what others thought about her, but it was clear her talent for cooking was present.
Zahra decided to go to Johnson & Wales University where she majored in Culinary Arts and Culinary Arts Management. She graduated at the top of her class and she was hired as a private chef for celebrities. While this would be exciting to most people, she felt like it wasn’t utilizing her talent all that well so she decided after a year or so to quit and she went back home to New York City where she got a job in a high end steakhouse and she was ready to build her way up the corporate ladder.
After years of busting her butt, they made her the head chef and she was ecstatic. However, one day she was missing her family and they all had moved to Clearwater. She didn’t want to give up her amazing job, but family was far too important to her now that her parents seemed to care about it. So she packed up her bags in 2021 and came to Clearwater to join her family. She was working as a chef, but then they gave her the job as head chef @ Inferno Steakhouse
