Beau Max

Hannah froze for a moment when she registered who she was speaking to. She turned to look at them better, eyes widening. "Beau?" she asked, certain but a tinge insecure. It felt like forever since she has seen any of her friends and now suddendly she's ran into two of them. Beau always brought complicated feelings forth for Hannah....Tadashi would be so proud....sometimes that realization stung as much as it made her heart happy. "I agree...but I have to admit, I do love the classics just as much...."

Beau nodded at the question of their name, the question if it was really them standing in front of her or not. And he couldn't blame her. While they liked to think that their existence helped Hiro with healing from Tadashi's passing, a process still very much going on, but they knew it might not be that was for everyone. Still, he would try his hardest to help them all heal. "I see." They said simply, letting he moment hang in the air for a moment. "It's good to see you Honey. Would you like a hug?" An offer, their arms open and waiting.

Beau looked over at them for a moment at the question. He wasn't sure of the emotion behind Casper's voice. Of course they would never blame them for any emotions they felt toward the subject, not knowing what might await them outside. Did they have family, longing to see them? Or perhaps running away from something? Beau only really wanted to leave, or rather find a way to leave because they knew others who wanted to leave. They wanted it for them. Everyone they truly cared about was right there with them. Except for Tadashi but leaving Evermore would never change that. "We could certainly make a list! In fact I'm sure I already have one started in one of my journals back home. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the town has it's own weather patterns that don't comply with where it's located."

"Like Evermore is in its own little bubble?" Casper questioned. It would sort of make sense. They'd never heard of it before, and they'd heard of a lot of places. It had been close enough to their mansion to fly right into (though, not out of) but it was completely off of their radar. It was strange... and ghosts knew all about strange. "I wonder what causes it. It almost seems like... magic." Their eyes remained on Beau's face, curious to their reaction to the mention of magic, always wondering who may or may not believe in their own existence.

Beau nodded, though not confidently. They would never want o give out false information and this was simply a hypothesis. And without knowing all the information of how the town worked, like how to get out, they wouldn't be able to confidently say anything. "Before coming to this town I would have said that magic was something just in fairy tales. But with the recent disappearances especially, it definitely seems like something that could very possibly be real." Their face remained the same, an expression that showed mild curiosity but bordered on neutral. Magic would certainly explain a lot of things, like how they were speaking to a ghost.

"That they are," Fred agreed, "but I'm fine, buddy! Don't worry." He knew that it was pointless to lie to Beau, he knew that they could see right through him... but maybe it wasn't as easy now that they had things like emotions hindering them. Maybe if he distracted them, diverted their attention. He smiled at the other as brightly as he could. "Hey, I actually have a question. Have you checked out the Rage Cage yet?"

Beaus face remained the same at their friends insistence, not believing them. Perhaps if he just scanned him really quick and figured it out what was wrong then they could properly help. Their interest piqued at the mention of the Rage Cage. "Yes, just once." He told Fred. Perhaps that would help his friend? A little emotional release of sorts. It could be good for both of them. "Would you like to go?"

"No need to be sorry. Almost everyone makes me uncomfortable. It's nothing personal." That was as honest as it got too. Coraline had a hard time trusting most of the people in town after seeing the other side. There were so many....copies....bleeding through and blurring the two dimensions. It was horrifying and isolating being one of the few who knew about it. At the sight of the band aids though they almost smiled. It was like....weirdly adorable that he just carried those on him. "Um...sure...I'll take whichever one."

Beau looked at the band aids for a moment before deciding on one of the flower ones. He felt like it would suit them nicely. “Here you go, though you should replace it, clean the cut and apply some ointment on it when you get the chance. Here’s some extra band aids." They said, placing a few on the table in front of them. “Is there anything else I could assist you with?” They asked with a tilt of their head, resisting the urge to just scan them. It was an urge they resisted a lot.

Beau knew in an instant that the girl in front of them was Hannah. Not just because she was his friend but because they could always recognize anyone they've met before. "I've always been a fan of modern pieces more. Everything needs to develop and grow over time. It's nice to look through all of it and see how much progress humans have made."

"You think we'll be able to?" Casper questioned. They'd tried to go home so many times and just given up... and they weren't really sure how they felt about it. They liked Evermore. It was just sort of lonely, not knowing many other ghosts. They'd lose their mind if not for Binx and Phyllis. "Weather patterns... that's smart. I wonder if we could narrow it down by researching all of the state's seasons."

"No, no. I'm good, I'm alright," Fred reassured him, which at the moment was true enough, now that he could breathe normally again. He just didn't want to worry Beau, even if he was built for that kind of thing. It was hard seeing him as anything but a friend anymore. "How are you doing, anyway?"

Beau couldn't help but to furrow his brows. Was this what frustration felt like? They weren't sure. It was odd, wanting to help people- no needing to help people and not being able to do it. Not as much as they would like too at least. "I'm alright, just wanted to check on you. On everyone really but I've been.... Worried about you. I think that's the right word for it. It's odd- emotions." They were never one to beat around the bush or hide their intentions. They weren't programmed that way. Literally.

Beau blinked a few times before responding. "I apologize- I did not mean to make you feel uncomfortable." They told the person. "Would you like a band aid?" He said, pulling out a box of assorted band aids from their bag. They were adorned with cute flowers and smiley faces. "I work at a nurse at the hospital, so I'm not afraid of blood. You can choose the one you like if you want."

Beau had seen him well before Fred had seen them. They stood there watching him, waiting incase he needed assistance. Plus if he had scared him in that moment, it definitely wouldn't have helped his heartrate. "It's alright- do you need assistance?" They asked their friend, knowing that he would likely know what he was referring too.

"It's like an amusement park! A really big one! I've never been to an amusement park, but I've read all about them!" They seemed like so much fun... but it wasn't like Casper could try the food, or ride the rides. Oh, to be human for a day. "I don't remember what state it's in, though... I don't even know what state we're in right now. Do you? Maybe Six Flags is just right around the corner."

"Ah." They nodded. He'd heard of amusement parks. They were a good vacation spot, great way to relieve stress. "I suppose I should also do my research so we can go when we're able too." Beau smiled. He pondered the question for a moment. What state were they in? "I believe we're somewhere north. Possibly northeast? But it would also be northwest. Lots of the weather patterns are similar. But I suppose anything may be possible here."

Casper nodded enthusiastically, they could understand that; though no one they knew had gone missing outside of Whitney, it was still really weird, and to not have any answers... "I'm alright!" They eased back to the ground from where they had been floating behind the counter an inch above it, hopefully slowly enough Beau wouldn't notice the movement. "I like to think everyone will be back soon. Maybe they're just on a fun trip! To Six Flags or something! Have you ever heard of Six Flags?"

Beau tilted their head curiously, going through their knowledge to see if 'Six Flags' was listed anywhere. "No- I don't think I know what Six Flags is." Casper had mentioned it as somewhere fun though. Perhaps they could go together if they got out of the town. All of their friends could go together. "What are the six flags?"

It was spooky, and Casper knew spooky. People thought ghosts and ghouls were scary, but in their experience, they really weren't that bad. It was all for show. A large sum of people just going missing, though? In some charmed town they couldn't escape? Now that was actually scary. Part of them wondered if they might end up being one of them, but maybe that couldn't happen to a ghost. How was someone supposed to kidnap a ghost, anyway? Or... had they not been kidnapped at all?

Beau shook his head, "I am still here- though I think I'm a little frustrated at the amount of unknown right now." It was difficult to word their feeling. Something they always had a hard time doing, even harder when it was negative feelings. Plus they did have friends on the missing list. "Are you doing alright?" A simple scan could answer that question but he was trying to get better at not scanning people. Hiro was always telling him that it was considered rude.

Beau had just finished a night shift and maybe that was why the girl suddenly started asking them things. Truthfully he hardly knew what was going on, only finding out that people were going missing because of those that called and stopped by the hospital to see if their loved ones were there. Unfortunately (for once) they were not. But he usually dressed pretty nice for work, and possibly looked a little 'official'. Now that someone's asked them something, they felt compelled to help in anyway they could.

sighing somberly, bloom shook her head, gaze flickering back to the glow of her phone screen as she refreshed the list once more — glancing down at the list of ' s ' names in hopes of seeing her best friends appear . . . to no avail. " i uh, no. . . i didn't think to do that, " she confessed, a bit sheepish, kind of assuming stella's larger-than-life personality would have made her a known face around here. the kind of face people would notice if she wasn't around. bloom noticed.

Beau felt bad for the girl. It made him think of Tadashi. The only difference being that they already knew Tadashi wouldn’t return. That seemed better than how she didn’t seem to know anything about her friend. “Well if you’d like I could go with you to report it?” He offered. Even though he didn’t know the girl it seemed like the right thing to do in that moment.
