yuki nodded and smiled â okay master.â she did as he instructed, writing on the paper. Calamity smiled âSo iâve noticed⌠perhaps a dragonâs quill feather would be more suitable? I can probably let you pull out one of my feathers. It shouldnât hurt too badly.â
Redbeard chuckles before looking at Calamity. âYa probably let me do anything at this point.â Redbeard says with a smirk as he reaches to her wing and pulls out the biggest feather he could find. âThank ye Calamity. Now yer should probably get me some ink.â
calamity gave a soft yelp as the feather was pulled, before nodding. âI have a small stash of ink.â she admitted, before moving to go retrieve it. âhere we are.â she was soon back with an inkwell.â
Redbeard smiled as he picks up his axe and edges the tip with it. Just finishing as Calamity gets back with the ink. "Why thank ya Calamity." He says with a chuckle. Taking out their favourite snack and holding it above Calamity. "want one?"

The bells are ringing and the port is full of traders, people and freaks alike. The streets are crowded and people busy. Ships leaving the port and entering the port are frequent. But there is one that gets a special dock house for themselves. The crew of the âSleeping Giantâ owned by Redbeard himself. His crew of 86 members were hauling in all the loot they had stolen over the past month and were planning to sell them in this city.
They were counting, stacking and too busy to pay attention to any curious eye coming through. The only one that was on the ship was Redbeard himself, whom had taken a little nap before and hasnât woken up from the docking. He was sleeping in the dinning hall. Resting his old body and eyes.
The submarine itself was half out of water, itâs metal plates still wet and the entrance are planks attached to the docks. And the only other entrance was from the top. But that would take a skilled climber to do.

Yuki blinked, but did as he showed her âA⌠it looks like a hat.â she giggled a bit, her lines were a bit shakey and uneven, but she seemed to be eager to learn.
Calamity appeared from the corner beside his chair and smiled âteaching her to write, Master? Anything I can help with?â he seemed to be struggling to grip the materials, perhaps she could assist him, a little.Â
âYes yer can. I have too big fingers to actually hold these tiny pens, I might break them by accident.â He says with a chuckle. âAnd keep writing A until yer feel comfortable with it Yuki.â Redbeard said as he looks to Calamity. âAnd good morning to ya Calamity.â He says, reaching to her and petting her head.

Yuki giggled and hugged on his arm as he shouted. blinking. âI wouldnât dare revolt, particularly not when iâm so well cared for!â she purred happily. âThink i will learn quickly, master? Iâve never tried to learn to read or writeâŚâ
âWell, only one way to find out! If ya can talk properly, then yer can learn to write and read properly.â Redbeard says with a chuckle as he pets her head. Soon after, the man from before brought some fine paper and some pens to write with. âHere you go sir!â He says and salutes as he leaves.
Redbeard slowly reached for a pen, picking up one with his two big fingers, slowly and carefully taking a paper so be wonât break neither. He places the pen in front of Yuki, taking another pen and uses it for himself. âNow then, this is.. Aâ He says, saying it slowly. He writes it again and again until he was done with the line. âNow you try.â
She blinked at him then smiled a little nervously â⌠no⌠I donât⌠it was considered a tool for revolt if I could read or write⌠they didnât want any chance of itâŚâ she didnât really like speaking of her old masters when she had one as kind as redbeard currently.
âTsk tsk, thatâs why they failed as masters.â He said as he poked Yukiâs nose. âI donât know why they would even think a small and innocent creature like you could revolt.â He says with a chuckle as he calls out âSOMEONE OUT THERE?!â He shouts, and shortly after a head pops out at the enterence. âYes captain?â One of the crew member asks. âBring me some paper and pens to write with!â He commanded and pointed at him. He simply nodded and the man left.

She giggled happily âYes, I like following your orders, you always give the best rewards!â she confirmed, nodding her head. âall the pets.âÂ
Redbeard chuckles once more as he gives her one more pet. âThough if I remember correctly, ye donât know how to write and read do ya?â He asks as he looks down at her, placing his hand under her chin and making her look up to him.
Yuki chirped loudly to get RedBeard's attention before hopping into his lap and smiled happily, "Morning master!"
It was quite the slow morning for him. Redbeard had been resting most of the night because had nothing else to do. It was rather boring to say the least, but this is how itâs been like the past 10 years or so once he was too old and big to be in the control room. Now his higher ranking officers needed to come down here for him.Â
Though lucky for him, a while ago he found 3 wonderful girls. Finding the first in a town that he had ransacked, the second was called and the third he beaten into submission because how stubborn she was. He was most certainly lucky with them.
And one of them had placed herself onto his big laps. He mumbles as he wakes up from his slumber, strangly enough he didnât have a morning pain in his leg this time. Maybe because he didnât move that much in the first place. Maybe. But for now, he had a cute pet to take care of.
Redbeard smiled and looks down, yawning and places his big hand over Yukiâs head, petting her. âGood morning Yuki!..â He yawns again and continues to pet her. âSlept well I hope?â
Yuki purred shutting her eyes as he pet her, her tail flicking side to side âyes! I slept very well, and I think iâm getting used to being on a ship. I donât wake up stumbling about as much.â she giggled. âAnything I can get for you, master?â
He chuckles with a tired tone. He continues to pet her slowly as he started to think of something from for her to do. He mumbles for a moment before smacking his two dry lips together. âYes, you can do one thing. Get some water for me.â Redbeard says with a chuckle.
yuki twittered and saluted âYes sir.â she smiled and climbed off of his lap before heading into the kitchen to get his cup and water. She soon returned with the requested drink, and set it beside him with a little struggle being how heavy it was. âhere, master, i got what you wanted.â
He chuckles once more as he reaches down for his drink, grunting a little as he got a little pain in his leg that made it a little harder. He continues to smile through it as he gets it to his lap and drinks all the water in whole. He gives a satisfied sigh. "Good girl, always so good at following orders." He says with a smile, petting her on the head. "I guess following my orders is the best part of the day huh?"

Chase simply snarled when approached by the captain and turned his gaze away from him.
Yeah, he wasnât going to answer that question. What could he say anyway? He wasnât going to admit this man was the boss of him, and there wasnât much room for a witty substitute given the circumstancesâŚ
No, instead, he just remained silent, refusing to lock eyes with Redbeard for the longest time.Â

It wasnât long before the dragon finally came to. His vision was blurred and everything seemed to be spinning, but he was conscious nonetheless.
âWhâ Where..?â He tried to struggle, but quickly found he was tied down to some strange table. All he saw was that damned captain and some other strange man he didnât know.
âJust what are you planning nowâŚ?â, Chase grumbled as his vision began to clear up. He then noticed the collection of tools nearby and he immediately stiffened.
âHeh⌠resorting to barbaric forms of torture then..?â, he asked, trying to conceal his nervousness. âIâve been through many things in my fifteen hundred years of life, and you think this is what will do me in? Donât make me laugh.âÂ

This is the first time Chase had ever felt so alive since heâs been trapped in this god awful ship. Finally having the chance to lash out⌠it was invigorating.
The dragon licked at the pools of blood that had formed. It wasnât much, but it acted as a form of sustenance. Considering how long itâs been since he last ate, this manâs blood was a god send.
He was in such a frenzy, he didnât notice the impending danger, and before he knew it everything went black. His head throbbed with intense discomfort, but honestly this was probably the best sleep heâs had since he got here too.
âGet this man patched up, boys.â Redbeard says with a grumble as he picks up Chase with ease, placing him onto his shoulder, holding onto him as he walks slowly towards the torture room. He still needed his axe to move and this extra weight from Chase was giving him a bad time with his leg. But he was going to make it through, he like when he needed to drag him for a whole day.
He took him to a small room, it only had a small metal surgeon table, there was a strange plug on the wall and on the side was a cart filled with torture tools. And by those tools was a old man wearing a lab coat and one grey glove one his left hand. It was the ship doctor. Dr. George Bass. One of the oldest member of the crew and the only one that was left of the old crew when Redbeard started.
He hums as he Redbeard drops him onto the table, Making him lay on his back. He grumbles as the doctor points to some chains on the floor that were attached too it. Redbeard took them and locked them onto each limp and one wrapped around Chaseâs waist. âSo we have a dragon as a test subject eh?âThe doctor says with a chuckle as he starts to pick some tools, Chase shouldnât be knocked out for too long. Redbeard had taken a seat by the door, sitting on the dirty floor as he waited.

Though it seems that plan has failed. He stilled when he heard mention of a torture room, then pinned himself to the back of the cell as the men approached. No, he refused. he would not let himself go without a fight. Though he was incapable of biting, he had enough free reign to fight back at least somewhat.Â
He immediately lunged at the crew man, knocking him down and pinning him to the ground. Sharp claws dug into his skin, and Chase struggled to open his jaws wide enough to bite. Try as he might, the rope refused to break, so all he could do was beat all of his aggression into this man. Heâd show them. Heâd show them all. He may be weakened, but he wasnât helpless.
The man screamed in pain as the claws went right through him like he was butter. He grabbed the hands as he tried to get them out, screaming in fear and pain as the other men started to kick him with the end of their guns, trying to keep him down and off their friend. They werenât going to have this!
Meanwhile, Redbeard grumbled as he lifted up his axe, having it on the flat side and slams it onto Chaseâs head. Knocking him out, though only for a moment. Just to keep him from hurting more of his men. If he would hit anyway. Because he was most certainly going to train this beast.

The dragon let out a soft sigh when he noticed just how many men have come to see him. It was like he had become some sideshow attraction⌠Oh, the indignity of it all.
He raised his head and scooted closer to the cell gate glaring angrily at Redbeard before speaking. âI told you I do not beg. However, I have a proposition for you. I know the location of several hidden treasures as well as several dragon nests. You can bury yourself in fortune as well as have yourself a pet much easier to tame than myself. I can draw it all out on a map for you if you release me.â
The fact that he has resorted to bribery was humiliating enough as it is. Though he figured this guy would buy it. Thatâs all pirates are really interested in, right? He figured it was bound to work.Â
Redbeard moved in closer, staring straight into Chase. His eyes narrowed and he starts to laugh, snorting along the way. Covering his mouth as he slowly lifts himself up again, grabbing the cage to lift himself up, gritting his teeth and laughing through them. âAnd why should we trust a beast like you? And besides, if it were true. We can still train you and then make you tell us about these âtreasuresâ of yers.â He explained as he crosses his hands. âTake him to the torture room.â He commanded and pointed at Chase. He had enough of waiting.
One of the men had tranquilizer as they opened the cage and went at him, trying to keep him down and making sure the tranquilizer would hit him and daze him, enough so they could take him there. The doctor had already caught on and went to get himself ready to start the training.
