4. Your muse catches mine off-guard by getting comfortable
Berwald thought heâd been re-watching Tangled alone, in his dorm on a nice, warm Sunday night. He seemed to be wrong.
"âŠWhat âre you doinâ?â
Without looking up the from the laptop, he held his hand out for his own can. he started humming along too, despite himself. This was really weird.
"What kinda movies do I look like I ânjoy?"
He stared at the manâs hand for a minute, eyebrows raised.
Without any further hesitation, Emil placed his own can in the otherâs hand, waiting to see if heâd notice it. At the question, he shrugged, facing the man once again.
"Dunno- Just that this wasnât it, but surprises arenât bad either."
...He gave Berwald his can. That probably didn't mean much and he didn't dwell on it long, but...
"...This is, uh...probably one a my favorite movies in a long time," He confessed. Not sure why he did, it was actually a little embarrassing.Â

14. Your muse slyly stretches to try and hook their arm around mine
Ivan was at the town movie theater, watching a movie that the other kids seemed to be interested in. Heâd heard them talking about it all week and it sounded good so he decided to go. He even had a nice conversation with a boy named Berwald in the lobby of the theater. Berwald was there alone too, so he was now sitting in movie next to him. The movie was good over all, but he was kind of caught of guard when the boy let out a loud yawn and lifted his arm up placing it on the arm rest behind Ivan. âHow do I react to this?â He thought.
ivan-cash-money:
Ivan felt Berwald tense up next to him, his eyes widening further as he turned to the boy. Ivan cleared his throat before speaking, â A-are you okay, friend?â He asked cautiously, he didnât know what to do. What if Berwald thinks heâs weird for not saying anything, what if doesnât want to speak to him again. Ivan didnât want to lose one if the few friends he had.
He shook himself out of his stupor and pulled away his arm.
"I-Iâm so sorry," He started to whisper, babbling a little, ââm fine, but Iâm real sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I didnât reâlizeâŠ"
He turned away and sat back in his chair. God, he was weird, why did he have to be so weird? He rung his hands together anxiously.Â
Berwald apologized repeatedly after pulling his arm away from Ivanâs shoulders, and surprisingly the space where used to be felt surprisingly empty. Ivan reached out to where Berwaldâs back faced him and rested his hand on his shoulder. âNo no no itâs all fine⊠Donât you worry. Itâs just that Iâm not used to people be so friendly to me is all. He pleaded whole heartedly.
He continued to ring his hands in his lap, watching Ivan closely.
âât still made ya uncomfortable thoughâŠ,â He stopped a moment and thought about what Ivan had said.Â
"âŠPeople arenâtâŠfriendly around ya? âŠYa seem really nice,"Â
He averted his eyes and started to bite at his lip a little. That was probably getting a little too personal for just a couple of strangers at a movie theaterâŠ
Ivan looked towards the ground, he didnât know this person well. So should he tell him? âWellâ he thought â here we goâŠâ Ivan removed his hand from The boys shoulder. â Well uh⊠Ya see I go to this school⊠Clovewood. When I first got there I got into ⊠an accident.â He explained vaguely. Ivan did indeed have get in trouble on his first week. Successfully hospitalizing his first room mate after turning the floor into lava at age 12. But why was he trying to explain this to Berwald, he could be possibly doing the opposite to save what minimal friendship they had developed.
He attended Clovewood's too? Berwald wouldn't have guessed; he didn't seem like a mutant in the slightest. And he'd never seen him before tonight. Granted, he had only been there for a month - maybe month and a half - and hadn't even recognized the school's gardener when he'd met her in the city. So, there was that.
Ivan's story made him rather curious, though. An 'accident'? Could he not control his powers either? ....It would probably be rude to ask him to clarify. He obviously wasn't comfortable saying anything more.
"...And people don't treat ya nice 'cause a this accident?"Â

7. Your muse insists our muses share a blanket to keep warm
The invitation to the movie had been a surprise, but this was a little different.
"You, uhâŠwanna share a blanket?â
"Itâs cold, and there arenât any other blankets!" Which was a lie. There was a few blankets in the closet that Antonio keeps around for winter. He was just to lazy to actually stand up and get them.
"Itâs not like itâll kill you or anything."
It was very cold and Berwaldâs jacket wasnât cutting it anymore. If anything, the blanket and close proximity to someone with such a high body temperaturewould probably help him not slip into a hypothermic coma, which was great.
"âŠAlright. âand it over,"
"That wasnât so hard, was it?
Although, in hindsight, Antonio probably shouldâve gotten a blanket from his closet. The only one on hand was his mucho-fuzzy-tomato blanket.
The residual heat from the blanket was rather...nice, he supposed. Even if the blanket itself was kind of weird (tomato novelty items were a thing?)
He turned back to the screen and was immediately bombarded with characters and interactions he didn't understand.
"...What're we even watchin'?"

"âŠWhat âre you doinâ?â
Berwald still stared out of the corner of his eye. His hand was in his pocket; he gripped his phone tighter, reminding himself it was there. Just in case.
He didnât offer a response, but looked back to his laptop. The âWhen Will My Life Beginâ reprise was coming up anyway.
He narrowed his eyes, not liking the thought of being ignored. He got up silently and walked out the door, coming back a few minutes later with a can of soda.
Plopping back down onto the couch, Emil leaned in to watch the movie, humming along quietly to the song. âDidnât think youâd be the type to enjoy these movies.â
Without looking up the from the laptop, he held his hand out for his own can. he started humming along too, despite himself. This was really weird.

"Could ya hand me the popcorn?" asked Berward, Ivan shook his head heavily and replied "uhâŠ.d-da." Reaching over he grabbed the popcorn and handed it over to Berwald. Now, Ivan usually closed off his empathy for the privacy of others. But he couldnât help it he used at a little bit, only to find that Berward was completely oblivious to what he was doing, his emotions were absolutely normal. He thought he should say something but he didnât, some how he just couldnât.
He happily took his popcorn, but still noticed Ivanâs discomfort. He felt awful. Ivan seemed like a very nice young man and the thought of inconveniencing him or annoying him shrouded his mind.
What if he thinks Iâm annoying and never talks to me again? What am I even doing? Is it just me talking? Should I move?
He almost turned to ask Ivan as much, but noticed something crucial: his arm was not on his armrest. He found it upon further inspection, laying comfortably behind Ivanâs head.
Oh. My. God.Â
