4.Ā Your muse catches mine off-guard by getting comfortable
Berwald thought heād been re-watching Tangled alone, in his dorm on a nice, warm Sunday night. He seemed to be wrong.
"ā¦What āre you doinā?ā
Without looking up the from the laptop, he held his hand out for his own can. he started humming along too, despite himself. This was really weird.
"What kinda movies do I look like I ānjoy?"
He stared at the manās hand for a minute, eyebrows raised.
Without any further hesitation, Emil placed his own can in the otherās hand, waiting to see if heād notice it. At the question, he shrugged, facing the man once again.
"Dunno- Just that this wasnāt it, but surprises arenāt bad either."
...He gave Berwald his can. That probably didn't mean much and he didn't dwell on it long, but...
"...This is, uh...probably one a my favorite movies in a long time," He confessed. Not sure why he did, it was actually a little embarrassing.Ā

14. Your muse slyly stretches to try and hook their arm around mine
Ivan was at the town movie theater, watching a movie that the other kids seemed to be interested in. Heād heard them talking about it all week and it sounded good so he decided to go. He even had a nice conversation with a boy named Berwald in the lobby of the theater. Berwald was there alone too, so he was now sitting in movie next to him. The movie was good over all, but he was kind of caught of guard when the boy let out a loud yawn and lifted his arm up placing it on the arm rest behind Ivan. āHow do I react to this?ā He thought.
ivan-cash-money:
Ivan felt Berwald tense up next to him, his eyes widening further as he turned to the boy. Ivan cleared his throat before speaking, ā A-are you okay, friend?ā He asked cautiously, he didnāt know what to do. What if Berwald thinks heās weird for not saying anything, what if doesnāt want to speak to him again. Ivan didnāt want to lose one if the few friends he had.
He shook himself out of his stupor and pulled away his arm.
"I-Iām so sorry," He started to whisper, babbling a little, āām fine, but Iām real sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I didnāt reālizeā¦"
He turned away and sat back in his chair. God, he was weird, why did he have to be so weird? He rung his hands together anxiously.Ā
Berwald apologized repeatedly after pulling his arm away from Ivanās shoulders, and surprisingly the space where used to be felt surprisingly empty. Ivan reached out to where Berwaldās back faced him and rested his hand on his shoulder. āNo no no itās all fine⦠Donāt you worry. Itās just that Iām not used to people be so friendly to me is all. He pleaded whole heartedly.
He continued to ring his hands in his lap, watching Ivan closely.
āāt still made ya uncomfortable thoughā¦,ā He stopped a moment and thought about what Ivan had said.Ā
"ā¦People arenātā¦friendly around ya? ā¦Ya seem really nice,"Ā
He averted his eyes and started to bite at his lip a little. That was probably getting a little too personal for just a couple of strangers at a movie theaterā¦
Ivan looked towards the ground, he didnāt know this person well. So should he tell him? āWellā he thought ā here we goā¦ā Ivan removed his hand from The boys shoulder. ā Well uh⦠Ya see I go to this school⦠Clovewood. When I first got there I got into ⦠an accident.ā He explained vaguely. Ivan did indeed have get in trouble on his first week. Successfully hospitalizing his first room mate after turning the floor into lava at age 12. But why was he trying to explain this to Berwald, he could be possibly doing the opposite to save what minimal friendship they had developed.
He attended Clovewood's too? Berwald wouldn't have guessed; he didn't seem like a mutant in the slightest. And he'd never seen him before tonight. Granted, he had only been there for a month - maybe month and a half - and hadn't even recognized the school's gardener when he'd met her in the city. So, there was that.
Ivan's story made him rather curious, though. An 'accident'? Could he not control his powers either? ....It would probably be rude to ask him to clarify. He obviously wasn't comfortable saying anything more.
"...And people don't treat ya nice 'cause a this accident?"Ā

7. Your muse insists our muses share a blanket to keep warm
The invitation to the movie had been a surprise, but this was a little different.
"You, uhā¦wanna share a blanket?ā
"Itās cold, and there arenāt any other blankets!" Which was a lie. There wasĀ a few blanketsĀ in the closet that Antonio keepsĀ around forĀ winter. He was just to lazy to actually stand up and get them.
"Itās not like itāll kill you or anything."
It was very cold and Berwaldās jacket wasnāt cutting it anymore. If anything, the blanket and close proximity to someone with such a high body temperaturewould probably help him not slip into a hypothermic coma, which was great.
"ā¦Alright. āand it over,"
"That wasnāt so hard, was it?
Although, in hindsight, Antonio probably shouldāve gotten a blanket from his closet. The only one on hand was his mucho-fuzzy-tomato blanket.
The residual heat from the blanket was rather...nice, he supposed. Even if the blanket itself was kind of weird (tomato novelty items were a thing?)
He turned back to the screen and was immediately bombarded with characters and interactions he didn't understand.
"...What're we even watchin'?"

"ā¦What āre you doinā?ā
Berwald still stared out of the corner of his eye. His hand was in his pocket; he gripped his phone tighter, reminding himself it was there. Just in case.
He didnāt offer a response, but looked back to his laptop. The āWhen Will My Life Beginā reprise was coming up anyway.
He narrowed his eyes, not liking the thought of being ignored. He got up silently and walked out the door, coming back a few minutes later with a can of soda.
Plopping back down onto the couch, Emil leaned in to watch the movie, humming along quietly to the song. āDidnāt think youād be the type to enjoy these movies.ā
Without looking up the from the laptop, he held his hand out for his own can. he started humming along too, despite himself. This was really weird.

"Could ya hand me the popcorn?" asked Berward, Ivan shook his head heavily and replied "uhā¦.d-da." Reaching over he grabbed the popcorn and handed it over to Berwald. Now, Ivan usually closed off his empathy for the privacy of others. But he couldnāt help it he used at a little bit, only to find that Berward was completely oblivious to what he was doing, his emotions were absolutely normal. He thought he should say something but he didnāt, some how he just couldnāt.
He happily took his popcorn, but still noticed Ivanās discomfort. He felt awful. Ivan seemed like a very nice young man and the thought of inconveniencing him or annoying him shrouded his mind.
What if he thinks Iām annoying and never talks to me again? What am I even doing? Is it just me talking? Should I move?
He almost turned to ask Ivan as much, but noticed something crucial: his arm was not on his armrest. He found it upon further inspection, laying comfortably behind Ivanās head.
Oh. My. God.Ā
