We did 250+ covers tonight (Sunday night) when we only had 60 on the books. The worst part was the fact that of those 250+ we did, 120 came off of my station(garde manger). All while grill and sauté were just sittin back watching me in the weeds. Fuck them hahaha.

Ok, not just me then, this weekend was nutty for all? I spent four days straight just swamped!

This is how it rolled for me on Friday and Saturday. Almost tripled what we had on the books and it was just sit a back guys and watch Sautee put on a show all night.

My Saturday was fucking bananas… I almost murdered 50 people.. but my Sunday was pretty good…  Didn’t even need my AK…

We had a lazy Friday. 300 people from 5pm-6:30pm on Saturday for the derby, 550 from 11-3 on Sunday for brunch buffet. I was running. Everything went really well until the guys started freaking out for no reason at all. How is it that when men get mad the rest of their brain turns off?

I'm looking at front of house on this one. Gotta know when to walk away.

Our employees get a free shift drink followed by $2 beers I think they’ll survive lol

I’m so jealous!!! We don’t get anything for free or discounted excepted for our meal for the day

We get 2$ beer unless it’s pricey craft beer! Which has gotten me through some rough closes.

Whaaaat. I can get a discount on food, but never alcohol. We aren’t even allowed to order alcohol from the bar if we work that day, even if it is after our shift. And on day’s off there is a two drink limit on those drinks we pay full price for anyway. 

Damn, that’s rough.
