Big 3
Well, yesterday was my 3-year anniversary of my hiring at my current job. It's on par with my usual stay within a company/org and as is past precedent, I'm still awaiting any chance at all to get some advancement (aside from a slightly-delayed, contractual title change and teeny-tiny wage increase last fall.)
Since I'm functionally "locked in" to working for the State (for benefit reasons mostly, but job security secondarily), I spend my Fridays scouring the branches for reasonable opportunities to put in for and then be subject to the limbo that is modern hiring in our "post"-Covid world.
Even though I have my gripes about my workplace (mostly with the people, not so much the work itself, tbh), it has still been the best job experience I have had thus far in my short tenure on this blue marble. I feel that I have finally found a niche for myself that plays to my strengths and actually allows me to have the potential to work on my weaker points.
Tl;dr work sucks (I know) but it could be worse for me at the moment.
