S2, Episode 14: Bon Bon the Birthday Clown

Among the several things i was doing for my portfolio, I had decided to practice some environment shots. I normally stick with characters and other concepts so much I forgot how much I had neglected stuff like this. 

So there you go! Two outdoor ones (top) and two indoor ones (bottom). 

He tried love once long ago. He made one wrong but crucial choice and now him and the whole world are paying for it in ways they’re not even aware of yet. 

Of all the Kashmir world-building I had been doing I had missed one of my favorite parts I had been working on: “The Three Institutions” 

A triad of “peace-keeping” organizations that actually serve to keep the grip of Kashmir’s government firm, they are specialized groups employed against the enemies of the empire.

★ B E Z D E L I E U  (meaning: “Imperial Police”)

Shortened by many casually to the slang term “Bezdi”, the Bezdelieu are an empire-wide police force that have automatic jurisdiction in all provinces of the empire. This means Bezdi agents can track or respond to revolutionaries and criminals across the empire without having to hand over information to regular police in a specific province. Many Bezdi human agents are often stereotyped as being power-hungry and violent. This is on part of Orsi superiors encouraging brutal behavior against their fellow humans, and the fact that unlike regular police, human Bezdi agents are allowed firearms (while on duty). Corruption is rife in several parts of the organization.  

★ F A T I M A Z D A  (meaning: “Royal Squadrons”)

Originally founded as a small and elite protection detail for the Supreme and the royal family, it was eventually expanded under Grace-Hera to an entire special military unit. Grace-Duval later expanded the organization again to be a full paramilitary that answered only to the Supreme. The Fatimazda served in the war at several crucial battles and gained a reputation for being terrifyingly merciless and efficient fighters. It’s members are known for their rabid fanaticism for the empire. It is one of the few organizations where humans are completely bared from serving on any level, being Orsi only. 

★ Q U U R A T  (shortened meaning for: “Higher Intelligence Security Service”)
