heres a short post i’ve written up on how to tell an image is cursed (supplemented by this post once again) that basically sums up the way to determine if a post is cursed. for this explanation though ill be using image examples instead.

so, a classic example of a cursed image would be this:

the lighting is strange, the source is nigh-untrackable, the photo itself is inexplicable, and the entire thing leaves you with a feeling of knowing less than you did before you saw it. the “vibe” this image would give is cursed.

a blessed image, on the other hand, might look like this:

this is an extremely lucky photo to snap, as the both the 3 birds and the sun+clouds had to align perfectly to get a photo of two smiles in the sky. besides that, smiles are generally considered “positive”, the colors are warm and friendly but hold a similar feeling to odd lighting, so its blessed.

and some posts have “power” but dont go either way:

in this example, the image has the classic “weird lighting” and “unexplainable” vibes, but the image itself is full of a figure that is generally believed to be good and holy (jesus, ymmv there but i digress) and thus, the combination of cursed and blessed makes it indeterminate

in general, it personally comes down to what kind of vibe it gives you; for instance a cursed image to someone can be blessed to another person, etc etc. not all cursed images will fit one criteria, and some might fit none, ie an outlier. an image can also start out cursed/blessed or become that way over time, but theres very few ways to tell which is which for the most part
