THE PRETTY MUCH ULTIMATE CONVENTION PACKING LIST
I’ve been to many, many a convention in my time. And one thing I’ve realized is that whether or not you cosplay, if you aren’t prepared, packing the night before will become a nightmare.
Don’t worry, I’m here to help! Using 10 years of convention-going experience to guide me, here’s my easily adaptable ULTIMATE packing list! This is geared towards overnight cons staying at a hotel, but you can pretty easily fix this for day trip cons or cons where you stay with a friend.
Note: This is all assuming a pretty much unlimited budget and hammerspace packing, and is an “ideal” theoretical list. Pare down as you see necessary.

All attendees 18 AND OLDER must have a state-issued ID to register. 15 – 17 YEAR OLDS may use their student ID. 14 AND UNDER must check in alongside their guardian. Please have identification and your ticket (printed or digital) readily available when you register. Your ID must match the name on your ticket. Please contact us if you registered under something other than your legal name.
If you need a copy of your ticket re-sent to you, we are happy to do so. Please contact us at [email protected] at your earliest convenience from the email of the attendee or purchaser.
Registration will be up the stairs from the main lobby of the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel & Conference Center.
If you are not at the registration desk in the above time frames, you will be denied entry to the event.
