On April 29, 2026, Conservative Republican Maryland Delegate Kathy Szeliga endorsed Barry Donadio for Queen Anne’s County Commissioner in District 3. Szeliga is the Vice Chair of the Maryland Freedom Caucus.

Ehrlich Jr., former Chair of the Maryland Republican Party Dirk Haire, former Queen Anne’s County Commissioner Mark Anderson, and Maryland Senator Johnny Ray Salling.
Donadio is leading a very strong campaign and has already hosted a fundraiser that featured an impressive list of high-profile attendees, including Maryland Congressman Andy Harris, former Governor of Maryland Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., former Vice Chair of the Maryland Republican Party Dwight Patel, and former Chair of the Queen Anne’s County Central Committee Mike Arntz.
Donadio was elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in 2014 and successfully served a four-year term. He has served as the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Maryland Republican Party since 2017. In 2024, he received over 50,000 votes in Maryland’s 1st Congressional District and was elected as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. He pledged his vote for Donald Trump to become the Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States.
