If you manage to get Einheria to lower her shield it means you're doing pretty well! When she puts it up it means her HP is very low, so you've only got a bit longer to go!

Alternis can be very tricky! Once his HP gets down to half, he’ll start to use Minus Strike which will kill whoever he uses it on. I’d highly recommend taking a white mage and lots of phoenix down in case Alternis targets them, bring a few ethers as well! (A maxed out performer would also be helpful with its level 14 skill that gives all party members +1 BP!) The only real “trick” to Alternis is to KO him as fast as you can, don’t worry about missing any dialogue, because you shouldn’t be able to get him that quickly.

If you’re really struggling or unsure, try maxing out the party’s jobs, level grinding, building up special attacks before the battle, and equip things like poison and KO to the attacks if you’ve unlocked them. Alternis doesn’t have any elemental weakness that can be exploited so don’t worry about that part of the attacks.
