  “ – well good fucking thing I don’t need to be hired. Already with a  … gang. So, shorty– I mean , Hannah – I keep guns on me at all times. It’s just how I am. ”

   “ -- geez, fuck, calm down! All that rage in that little body ... ” He gave a look. 

   So much for going undercover. The male rubbed at his face, trying to think of a reason why he would have a gun. 

“ – u-uh.  Yeah, you aren’t an idiot. But I am a cop. An … undercover cop! ”

“You. A cop.” 

Yeah, she’s still not buying it. But she figures she’s already called him out once, and he has a gun, so there’s no reason to push her luck and try again. 

   “ -- what else would an undercover cop be undercover for?  Everything. ” He cleared his throat for a quick second, waving off her skeptical look before just grinning. He knew that she was starting to question it -- and the gun was not making this any easier,

   “ – I shouldn’t have to worry then. ” Miles shot a grin to Ryan before getting out of the car once they had arrived. He gave a quick glance behind them, towards the road, before making his way inside. It’d be nice to not have to sit around like a bunch of losers as they waited.

“ Please tell me we have beers , though.  Or something stronger. ”

“Check the fridge. This should be one of the more stocked up safe house,” He says, giving a shrug. He took the stairs up to the porch in stride before stepping up onto the railing to grab the key that was under the awning to unlock the door. Inside looked like it hadn’t been touched in quite some time but still was decent enough to hide in.
