Max took a deep breath and shook her head. There was no way she was imagining it. She had seen that flicker to many times before, but never thought that her powers could work on images that weren’t hers.

Could she really just pop back into captured moments she didn’t belong to? She focused harder and soon the white flash engulfed her. And she was standing next to Nathan who immediately panic at her sudden appearance but Max didn’t care. She didn’t have time. She slammed her boot into the back of his head and grabbed Rachel who was also freaking out.

Once Rachel was free and Nathan was secure Max told her everything that had happened on the other time line where she had disappeared and told her to come to the dorms to find her soon. That she loved Chloe as much as her and if she wanted they could all run away together.

Rachel at first doesn’t seem to know how to process it but then hugs Max and as she says, “I promise. I promise I’ll find you.”

After that it it like shattered memories rearranging themselves and when it stops she is on the road sitting in Chloe’s truck between Rachel and Chloe who are smiling wistfully. 

“It worked?”

“That it did Time Warrior.” Chloe pulls over to a scenic overlook so that they can say goodbye to Arcadia Bay. “God I didn’t want to believe Rachel when she told me. I thought it was the drugs or something, but then she described you and I well I cried. I cried more than the day my dad died. You did all of that because you loved me?”

“Yeah of course. God I hope I didn’t destroy the world though.”

Rachel shook her head. “No I talked with some of my friends about quantum singularities and since you only made one change it shouldn’t cause any lasting effects like when you saved Chloe’s dad.”

“Nice try with that one though Max.” Chloe lit one of her cigarettes and paused before putting it into her mouth. She tossed it and the pack aside and shook her head, “Perhaps I should take any chances though on the universe trying to kill me.”

“Please don’t I don’t know if I still have my powers.” Max looked at Rachel. “You really are as beautiful as Chloe said you were. I am kind of in shock right now.”

Rachel smiled and pulled Max close, “You look a lot better yourself. I guess time travel and death took its toll on you.”

“It is not something I would recommend.” Max forced a laugh, “So what about Nathan and Mr. Jefferson.”

“Nathan is going to get help and Mr. Jefferson is dead. He crashed his car into a train trying to escape the police.”

“That could have be the causality of my saving you. He died in exchange.”

“Then you did a fucking excellent job then.”

Rachel shook her head. “This is a new beginning for us so where do you all want to go?”

Chloe looked at Max, who nodded without saying anything, and said, “The plan is still on. Lets head to LA and then just travel across the country.”

After all we’ve been through…I respected you, Hank. I thought we were friends!

Oh, yeah? I was just starting to like you too! But then I realized you’ll never change! You don’t feel emotions, Connor, you fake ‘em! You pretended to be my friend, when you don’t even know the meaning of the word!

Connor: *playing the deviant in the scenario* So just shoot me with your gun and goodbye, deviant!

Hank: Fuck, guess I’m really doing this

Connor: I can see that you are worried and I just want to assure that I am not human and I cannot feel pain. I will, however, simulate fear and beg for my life.

Hank: Okay, here we go. *Raises his gun*

Connor: *screaming* Hank! Hank, please no! Please don’t hurt me, I don’t want to die!

Hank: *yells and lowers gun*

Connor: Again! Deviants are not human, they don’t feel pain.

Hank: Seems real *raises the gun again*

Connor: Hank, I have kids. *Suddenly holding a picture of Alice* I have three beautiful children, look at Alice. She has asthma but she’s battling it like a champ.*Shouting* No Hank, look at them!

Hank: *throwing gun to the ground* Fuck! Don’t do that!

Gavin: *walking in and shooting Connor* Hey, what are we doing?
