Episode One: Daddy Devious by Sadie Minx

This new series is one for the age players and intimate regressors out there, and if definitely NSFW! For those of us who enjoy reading stories centered around DDLG/ ABDL and/or regression, this is the place im going to be putting on my big girl panties and reviewing books as I read them that I think you all would love.
This episode is about "Daddy Devious" by Sadie Minx, book 1 in the 6 book forbidden pleasure island series.
Ill be honest with you all, the name of this series had me really holding back. I do not like the analogy to current world news, though im certain it was written before the story became mainstream, its triggering and made me def uncomfortable.
However, I am so glad I gave it an honest and true "No thank you" bite!
This is the first book since The Little Rebels Academy that I have truly enjoyed (And more on that amazing novel later!).
One of the things I loved about this book is the normalization of taboo kink and love. I personally really enjoy stories where the LG is for the first time coming to terms with their regression and learning about this new world all around them. Much like LRA, the Forbidden Pleasures Island is a fully immersive environment, with the differences lying in FPI being VERY kink friendly instead of a focus of age-re as a coping mechanism. Everyone on that Island is comfortable with DDLG and kink and at times willing participants in the dynamics. This creates a safe space for our main character Victoria to truly lean into her regression without the fears of judgement surrounding age re in everyday life.
You cant help but adore the billionaire trope, and for those who enjoy CNC, this one is a huge winner. Daddy Devious is a contract love story, however Miss Victoria really should have read through the contract much more carefully, as she is routinely surprised right from the start at the level of both intimacy and immersion that she signed up for.
Whilst I still have my qualms with it taking place on an Island, for OBVIOUS reasons, I was able to distance myself from the parallels I had initially and fully jump into the world that Maxwell Stone created without being pulled out by current events, and personally I am able to overlook this and enjoy the writing as a whole. Quickly after starting it became a non-issue for me, and overall, I'm incredibly excited to further my journey into this series. While I WILL NOT be going out of my way to create a trigger list here, I will say that this book in particular does a great job of gentle ushering you into triggering spaces and walking you through them with grace and a well-placed "Good Girl" at just the right times. I found myself in multiple uncomfortable scenes but never felt the need to put the book down and process, as in most cases, the author cleverly had Victoria processing things as well. Her internal monologue was enough for me to really enjoy the process of being carried outside of my comfort zone, and in true daddy dom fashion, holding your hand through the uncomfortable bits as both the main character and the reader walk through them together.
If you are considering whether kink-involved age regression is for you, I do think that this is a good book to experiment with. It pushes your limits lightly but also helps you through them gracefully enough that at the very least, it can bring you an understanding of DDLG that only a first-person perspective offers.
Overall, I give this book 4 out of 5 gold stars!
