I also can't stop thinking about the name of the game. It feels like sort of pun on "end of cope" phrase? Considering everything that's going on in the game it feels like little Mellow has one big escapism trip of sorts to gather courage and break out of the confinement of the household. Which is existential horror enough for me 🤘

Fun story: when I started my journey to hook off from genshin (which was very painful, I uninstalled the game, but still loved the lore and some characters, and my obsession with finding at least good artifacts was so bad that it gave me insomnia) it felt like everybody was in cahoots to bring me back. Even my friends weren't able to make at least some exceptions for me and were casually posting their pulls, talking about artifacts and lore and their shippings around me expecting my engagement. Because I guess if I spent zero money "it wasn't that serious". And I was engaging because I'm weak and was still addicted to my lovehate relationships with this game. It genuinely felt like that one metaphor about crabs in a bucket. And now again some time ago in a new group chat (can't call that people friends) it was unfortunate to stumble upon two genshin glasers. Who started arguing with me aggressively and shutting me up when I wanted to engage in discussion about characters and lore because I'm a brainless hater (citation) or something. Like I genuinely thought that we started to become friends until they pulled "you're mean to my fav game and that's worse" card and became colder to me since (they older than me btw). For clarification: I spent zero money on the game, I just had very bad luck with gacha both character and artifacts-wise which resulted in me grinding the whole game while being sleep deprived to the point of having nervous breakdowns and insomnia. Regulary. Also I wanted to pull very few characters and still wasn't able to get them most of the time which was also very fun and contributed to this whole thing I guess. Dunno I am allowed to call it addiction or not but whatever
