Daniel Crooks
Daniel Crooks is an Australian artist, who dabbles in a wide range of medias such as Photography videography and other things like sculptors etc.
His work had been exhibited throughout Australia and the rest of the world, one of the works in video he does is that he sets up a dolly camera in places like alleyways or somewhere with long straight pathways which moves in one fluid motion forwards.
He then takes that footage into an editing program like adobe after effects or adobe premiere pro, then from there what I think he does is masks out each end of the footage in shapes like a square or rectangles then motion tracks the footage so each footage sticks to the ends of it that way creating an unending straight forward motion but has each scenery or environment different showing different areas with straight pathways.
 An embroidery of voids.

Lost and found graphic research.
When going into this video I didn’t know how to go about doing it so I watch a few videos on YouTube to get an idea on how to do so, so of these inspired my way of editing the lost and found motion graphic video.
But I had my own clips to use for this video, I also have my own capture card where I went into the game and recorded the cinematics to help further the edit.
A guy I found is an editor called Ryu with an edit called Galactic HalfEar Overwatch edit, he does a nice overwatch edit with a ton of motion graphics and what not.
He also does a few other good edits as well called Kephrii Overwatch Edit HalfEar, I just started watching some of his videos I found a lot of them really good.

How my Game relates to the options I have chosen is not only are they in 2D they all have some form of combat in them even though the combat they use are things like shooters it’s still combat based and they require steps to coding hitboxes, life points per hit etc.
They also are side scrollers just like my game is so learning about how each developer goes about doing that also helps gain more knowledge to help when I get to that part of making my game.
One game goes on to making there’s for mobile devices which is a platform I am considering for my game, they show how to make on screen buttons for movement, jumping and shooting which is how I want my game controls to be like but with different actions or commands when they are pressed.
Learning how these game designers place there objects in there game gives me more ways I can place my objects so it’s not so plain and simple, and the art styles for their backgrounds and environments so it gives me more ideas to pick a style to choose for my game pixel wise or not to have pixels. Â
A Goofy Movie
The animated film I am going to be talking about is, different scenes in Disney’s the goody movie that came out in (1995).
What makes this film standout a lot that it a lot is the very bright and vibrant colors makes it real easy on the eyes so as you’re watching you don’t cringe your eyes to try see or it being to much, it really utilizes the colors of what an object is,
like in this scene here where the rocks have different shades or brown to make the rock like its popping out, and the different blues there are for the water that goofy and max are floating through, makes the water look crystal clear and real nice to swim in. makes a clear distinction from ground and water.
In this scene here there are a bunch of trees in the background along with some slopes that give the ground the characters are walking on have more depth by showing the different levels so it’s not just a flat and plain ground.
The lighter browns could also show that the part is damp or has a softer surface the darker places, the greens for the grass also show the same effect or can also mean that the lighter parts are more dried up then the darker colors.
This film really utilizes the colors depending on the type of environment the scenes are in, if it’s a dark and rainy scene they will use a lot of dark color to show that effect.
Game Design Document.
A game design document or (GDD) for short, is a series of information written down by the development team, showing a list of ideas and concepts for a video game.
It’s to show the development team what they are working to put in the game, things like gameplay, characters, environment, story, platforms and other things of that nature.
It also makes it easier for not only the development team but other people that are working on the game to keep track of things so they don’t forget something that needs to be in a game or if something is buggy to fix or take out.

Game Art
-Dragon Valor.
-Ps1.
-Examining The Artwork.
The ark work in this game is very blockish and has tons of straight lines squares, rectangles and other types of shapes for objects or of a face and body.
The type of ark work suits the time era the game is based in, back in days of the swords and shield time frame.
The game doesn’t just have one single story line, it has multiple main characters of about 4 or so, the story is vast and stretches across 2 disks, so it draws me in more into the story wanting to know more and wondering what the outcome is going to be.
There are some scene’s like a part in the game where a village is burning and engulfed in flames with buildings crumbling and falling apart, where the main characters close family is dying or is dead and it sets a sad and tragic moment.
The color is also has a massive impact on the game and complements the time era, where is has very dark tones, such as, lots of grey’s blacks and dark browns, it also shows that the game’s feel has a dark sense of adventure.
The are also parts where the colours are very bright, such as times when magic is used, water, sky/clouds, grass and clothes and even weapons.
Some of the backgrounds are of laces that are befitting of the time era such as a battlrground, forest’s, castle courtyards and citys, villages underground taverns, mountains and other such places.

5 Types of Animations.
Traditional Animation-
This is a type of animation that is done drawing by hand, by doing that you draw each sequence of animation on sheets of paper or any other materiel one frame at a time. This was the most common use of animation until computer animation came along.
 2D Animation-
This type of animation comes in many forms of techniques that can be used to create 2d animations, such as geometric models also called (Vector graphics),
Digital graphics also (raster graphics), text to be typeset defined by content, font style and size, colour, position and orientation, along with many others.
 3D Animation-
This is a common way of animating in this day and age, this type of animation involves shading done by the creator making a model have form and mass.
Motion capture is also a great use of 3d animation where a live actor wears a suit that allows the computer to capture and record their movements and use them for CG characters.
Motion Graphics-
Typography or animated logos, a use typography is words that are synced to a song lyric video where the animator can change its rotation, size and a few others of a word when the words are being said.
Animation effects-
This type of animation for an example is done in video editing, where you keyframe an effect like (glow) that animates throughout a certain amount of time.

Call of duty and how it has progressed over the years, with the new things they have added through out each title.
My Motivations
What keeps me motivated is learning new things that I find interesting, but most interesting things I like revolve around anime and gaming. For gaming or rather edits that involve games like all call of duty’s, There are editors in that community that inspire me with their own works like FaZe Barker or Red Unchained, I can always find new ideas to branch off or put my own twist’s to it, and also watching their work reminds me each time I feel unmotivated what my edits could be like if I put the same amount of effort and dedication to it. I also don’t want to limit myself to just editing games, I want to make the most out of what editing can bring like working on IRL videos like Vlogs, Dance, Tricking montages Etc. Where I want to go with editing is at some point work on animated films.
