“Now there’s a Batman.”Â

Now, you boys know you can’t come into my neighborhood without asking politely.
HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY, THE DARK KNIGHT
“Beyond dark. It’s as black – and teeming and toxic – as the mind of the Joker. “Batman Begins,” the 2005 film that launched Nolan’s series, was a mere five-finger exercise. This is the full symphony.” – Richard Corliss, Time
“At two hours and 32 minutes, this is almost too much movie, but it has a malicious, careening zest all its own. It’s a ride for the gut AND the brain.” – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment WeeklyÂ
“The Dark Knight is hardly routine–it has a kicky sadism in scene after scene, which keeps you on edge and sends you out onto the street with post-movie stress disorder.” – David Denby, The New Yorker

The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Don’t talk like one of them. You’re not! Even if you’d like to be. To them, you’re just a freak, like me! They need you right now, but when they don’t, they’ll cast you out, like a leper! You see, their morals, their code, it’s a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They’re only as good as the world allows them to be. I’ll show you. When the chips are down, these… these civilized people, they’ll eat each other. See, I’m not a monster. I’m just ahead of the curve.
Batman Begins (2005):
“After training with his mentor, Batman begins his fight to free crime-ridden Gotham City from the corruption that Scarecrow and the League of Shadows have cast upon it.” After the big downfall of the Batman franchise, there was no hope for a return. Unfortunatly, in the 90s and early 2000s, Super Hero movies had a really bad reputation. Fortunatly, after the sucess of the Spider-Man movies, there was hope for good Super Hero movies. With the rise of the Super Hero movies, Batman was able to rise again. Batman Begins is the beginning of a new trilogy, starring Christian Bale. This trilogy starts with a BANG! I love this movie soooo much. This movie starts with your typical story: the origin of Batman. Bruce Wayne losing his parents, getting depressed and decising to become a hero. This movie tells the story in such a great way. This movie has a serious tone to it, so don’t expect sillyness and akward characters. Expect something a lot more realistic, depressing but still fun. Christian Bale as Batman was the best choice so far. He’s brilliant. Katie Holmes as Batman’s love interest/best friend was an incredible choice as well. She was amazing. She was so good that I was sad she didn’t returned in the sequel. Michael Caine is Alfred in this movie. A very good version of this character. He’s definily a great character to motivate Bruce in his decisions. Basically, Alfred helps Bruce to make him thing. Liam Nesson is the villain in this movie. He’s the typical: good character who helps the hero, but then he goes bad. He was pretty good in this movie, but Christian Bale steals the whole show, to the point that the other characters are irrelevant, lol. Unlike the next movies, the villain doesn’t stand out more than the hero. This was the first Batman movie I officially saw, and it made me fall in love with this character, and it made me a fan of this franchise. With all of this said, I will gladly give it a 10 out of 10.

Criminals aren’t complicated, Alfred. Just have to figure out what he’s after. Well today I found out what Batman can’t do. He can’t endure this. Today you get to say “I told you so.”
