one of the things i love most about film is the accessibility of the medium but at a certain point you do have a responsibility to educate yourself! it’s over a hundred years old!!!! there is an enormous breadth of incredible works created by people who lived and died long before we even existed and i think we owe it to them to allow their works to live on through us :)

why do people get so mad at wanting a filmmaker to know about film?
