excited, thrilled, devastated, and scared at the same time. I was shaking in my seat, waiting for that backstory to drop. enjin is such an amazing character whose presence is laced through the narrative and character connection that, seeing his past, started pulling everything together.

an act of kindness that led you to a present day, a person you wanted to become.

When the time comes...

Another piece of this little series.

This illustration isn't as much about clock theory as it is about Enjin's immaculate timing overal.

It's about the time he spent getting to this point of his life and how much this timing affected people around him.

I can't wait for the day we see more of him and/or his lore revealed.

I won't be able to finish it anytime this year, so I'll share the sketch of it for now.

Enjin proved to be a pretty multifaceted character even for the short time we'd known him, and no uncovered past in sight. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and he might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love his character so much.

The more I thought and analyzed his character, the more I wanted to dive into and speculate about the sides he rarely lets out for others to see. The thoughtfulness, self-loathing, and, dare I say, guilt and shame for what had been done in the past or wasn't achieved/figured out just yet. 

Enjin is a mystery, the key to understanding we still  have yet to see and get to know. 

But even with his charming, easy-going, sometimes dramatic, sometimes chill and rational, sometimes goofy personality, there are glimpses of his real feelings and thoughts. The Enjin we caught only briefly, but each time stood out.  I wanted to explore the side of Enjin, who still keeps even his closest people at arm's length. The side that only shows up when he is deep in his head or alone on his own. The doubt and contemplation that come with great responsibilities.

Just like any person, he isn't a stranger to self-deprecating thoughts. Even The Ensign, the hope and teacher, who prides himself in the complicated role of the guiding light, has moments of somber thoughts sprouting roots of doubt and sorrow in his heart.  The thoughts that never go away but stay quiet until they resurface again.

I started making Gachiakuta oc for fun, but ended up writing down the whole story, personality nuances, and everything that let me know I can't just do anything without obsessing over it, LMAO.

Gachi is very inspiring in this regard. The boost of creativity and inspiration it gave me keeps me going even in hard times. The power system of this universe is so interesting, and so is the setting, which is why I wanted to make a character+I am curious about how certain topics could be explored, so that's Aster's purpose, too. And fun, obviously khkhk.

I'm almost done with his character sheet and little doodles of him, but for now, I present this✨️
