Load up ln the fantasy! I'm making this book last as long as I can. I'm not ready for this trilogy to be over 😭

I got this because it's suppose to be a Beauty & the Beast retelling. I had read reviews that this book was a mess but decided I wanted to try, anyways cause I love Beauty & the Beast. Starts out the same about the same: kingdom is cursed due to an angry witch, who turns out to be the brothers' mother. The whole kingdom becomes these rat people, who can only be humans and access magic for a couple of hours during the night of a full moon. Witches from our world are brought over to try to fall for one of the brothers. Cool, great. That's fine, I'm good with this. HOWEVER One brother goes to mom, begging her to help him have the FMC fall in love FASTER. Mom gives son magic pill that DISGUISES him, making him not appear to be a monster. THAT DEFEATS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE CURSE MAAM. The book is riddled with grammatical issues, poor word choices, strange and confusing sentences. It also has super quick solutions to problems, meaning the characters don't even go through any sort of problem solving. And that's the whole thing: major issue arises, then quick solution over and over and over again. In other words, it's boring. The spice wasn't even enough to entertain. Also, hardly any character development or introduction, so while I wanted to like the characters, I couldn't form any attachments. And then the story ends, abruptly. No smooth fading into a happily ever after, nope. Just ends. The fuck did I just read?? 🤣🤣 I'm laughing because I'm uncomfortable. It only got a star because goodreads requires at least one star. The Kingdom of the Wicked series was barely better than this BARELY I would also like to add that the texture of the hardcover book feels wrong, too.
