Comet’s nickname comes from his fondness for watching a comet (Halley’s comet) during his procedure recovery! Initially made up by his sister (who also had a space based nickname from their parents) the name stuck and he uses it more frequently than his ACTUAL NAME!

Introducing:

Erik “Comet” Green and Lilith “Cotton” Thompson!!!

The two of them are best friends and in a band together!!

Comet is a well mannered and excitable corn snake, canonically autistic comet (and cotton) plays guitar and makes video games. Comet is a left leg amputee having lost it as a result of a devastating car accident leaving him without his parents as well. Resulting in him growing up with his older sister. Coket is very approachable and friendly if not too friendly and trusting for his own good.

Meet Madeline Maybell:

A confident and VERY autistic Samoyed from somewhere else she would rather not talk about. Madeline (or Maddy if you’re Melody) is mostly deaf, requiring cochlear implants. She’s talkative, caring and physically fit. Also very good with her hands Madeline tinkers as a hobby, taking a special interest in civil defense equipment from a by gone era. She puts on a tough act and is very strong willed but beneath all of it is a deeply traumatic experience of which she still suffers from night terrors from.

They’re all college students… all of them basically in CV at least

Melody is a virginia opossum most notable for her more timid demeanor and fact that she is entirely blind! (Shes based off the fact that apparently a lot of opossums can be born without eyes) She likes to read so audiobooks, braille written books (which I imagine are a bittt more common in this society) and her girlfriend Madeline reading to her are her favorite activities.
