Seeking the right path...

  Cheren is none the wiser when it comes to the intent of Touya's approach, and he is far to preoccupied in trying to keep himself upright to even consider what was happening. The next moment leaves him truly and thoroughly unable to consider much of anything. Cheren stands frozen in place for minutes after the kiss, trying and failing to come up with something to say...

"Huh??"

unova. silver could honestly say this place was up there on his list of preferred regions - just on the account of how seriously battling had been taken there. new layouts, new rules, and new strategies he's never heard of until making it there, and it's also what kept him coming back. even more so when an old acquaintance and battle partner had been making talk of the town, how he made his goals a reality. there was something sincere in the feeling silver got after hearing the news, almost as soon as he'd entered aspertia.

it's not hard to navigate a new city, he's learned the art with years of practice. he took his time with it, still ; the city is flourishing, and the closeness of the natural world and pokemon with urbanization is something he quite adores seeing. this could be one of his favorite cities, by far.

the school and gym isn't hard to find, and familiar black hair and familiar voice stands out from the rest - he looks different, though. ( silver knows he could say the same for himself, but still ; the progression of time always seemed to catch him off guard with things like this. ) and still, he'd circle his way around the lobby area to nearby where cheren stood, engrossed in a conversation with someone else. likely a gym trainer. and so he'd wait and take in the sights of the room he stood in, just until it'd ended and the other person walked away. silver reorients himself.

" cheren. " a slight dip of the head in greeting, firmness to his voice for it to be heard the short distance he stood.

"long time no see."

  Even just the lobby area of Aspertia's Trainer School provides an insightful glimpse of the quality of the newly completed building; Brick walls and polished cedar floors create a rustic ( and slightly aromatic ) atmosphere that manages to make even a building as decently large as this feel homey.

  It is in the middle of the lobby of this place that Cheren keeps finding himself returning to, far too anxious for the arrival of any new students or challengers to focus on much else. It's at the tail end of his reassurance to a nervous Mariko that he finally hears the telltale footsteps that accompany what he assumes is the very thing he was expecting.

  His visitor greets him before Cheren has the chance to turn and regard him properly, and a quick turn of the head is enough to confirm two things: This is not likely a new student, and this was certainly no stranger. He returns the nod with a smile, trying his best to bite back just how enthusiastic he is to see Silver again ( a difficult task in the face of just how eager he is to see how he matches up to the other in battle these days; some things never change ).

"HIYAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Touya charges forward with unbridled ferocity as he makes his way towards Cheren. He's a bit short compared to his friend, so he has to get on his tiptoes to be able to pull it off, but as he does so he puts his hands on Cheren's shoulders to keep himself balanced and then gives him a kiss on the left cheek.
