Neither of these was bad per se.  Adding meat and more canned vegetables to canned soup doesn’t make the canned soup taste worse, but soup is so easy to make. If you’re going to go to the effort of prepping and cooking meat first, just cup up some vegetables and use stock. It would taste so much better. The grilled cheese is grilled cheese.  Of course, it was good.  It maybe doesn’t need to be included in a cookbook.

Place the malt chocolate balls in a glass, add espresso, whiskey, and Irish cream.  Stir and serve.

Yeah… this is disgusting.  Don’t do it.

Fill a tall glass with ice, add rum, and Midori. Fill three-quarters of the way with orange juice, then top with the soda. Pour Blue Curaçao over the top.

You know what a quicker way to make raisin bread is?  Buy raisin bread.  This recipe is completely unhinged. Don’t do it.  It wasn’t worth it.

Layer in a tall shot glass and serve.

I find the inclusion of this fried chicken recipe so funny in the cookbook.  It’s both way too basic to really be good (I mean, it’s fine, but man, it lacks seasoning).  But also, this is a cookbook that mostly involves heating things up from cans, then all of a sudden it wants you to deep fry something in hot oil?  That’s a big jump in skill. Everything tasted good.  No complaints. I just think if you’re going to go to the effort of making Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes, you should go to the extra effort of seasoning them better.

Put a half a dozen mixed berries of choice into a tall glass, add vodka, and then fill the glass with half soda/half beer.

I wouldn’t say this was the best way to cook fish.  I also didn’t use condensed tomato soup because I’ve learned from my past mistakes.  I used the Amy’s tomato bisque.  It was fine.  I liked it. But there are way better ways to cook fish.  Don’t do this to it.  (Also, I don’t know why that bread looks fake. I swear I wasn’t eating a kid's toy).

These are cute.  Not really something you should need a recipe for, but it’s a kid’s cookbook, so that’s fine.

Place a scoop of ice cream into a glass, pour Frangelico and espresso over top.  Top with a sprinkle of nuts.

This is a recipe, but it reads more as a suggestion.  I made them in every way suggested, using sourdough English muffins.  Honestly, I’m not sure there’s much to say.  Yeah, I’ve done things like this before, I’ll do them again.  Will I make these exact ones again?  Probably not.  Will I make ones like this?  Yeah, probably.

Another pie that’s just pudding in a pie shell.  It tastes exactly like that.  Easy, pretty good if you like pudding in a pie shell with cream on top.

These are made using a packaged cake mix.  They taste good, but more cake-like than cookie, and I’m not sure that using the cake mix saves any time.  At least not significantly.
