One time I had a dream where I lived in a village that was next to a river, and on the other side of the river was a big dark woods. I went out for a walk late at night and I saw a group of young girls in white dresses emerge from the woods and hop across the surface of the river under the light of the moon. They told me they were fairies, and they could only cross the river twice per night: once as the moon rose, and again as it set. During those moments, the moon shined down on the river at just the right angle that they could hop across it, using the rippled spots of moonlight as stepping stones. They told me that they could teach me how to do it, and I could join them in the forest. The last thing I remember before I woke up is looking down at my feet as I crossed the river, leaping from bright spot to bright spot.

was the village called portland, oregon? cause this happens all the time here like so normal by portland standards everybody knows the white dress fae, they're always hanging around outside corner stores near the river at night trying to get people to buy them mike's hard (they don't have ID because they don't have birth certificates because they're fae)

thinking about house admitting to cuddy that being in love with her was making him be a worse doctor. we know in the past that if ANYTHING made him worse at being a doctor, even if it benefited him, he’d stop doing it. we see this with the ketamine and it taking away his pain, but that pain apparently helps him be a better doctor (house logic) and so he chooses vicodin instead cause he cares more about helping others. but he admits to cuddy that him loving her makes him worse at his job (implications on cuddy being a substitute vicodin especially cause they started dating after he was about to relapse) but he didn’t care. he cared more about cuddy and rachel then being a good doctor, which is crazy for him to say! like it wasn’t the perfect scene or explanation to show us cause he ditched her event and got drunk instead then showed up soaking wet to tell her all this, but even she’s not as offended by it as one would normally be, because this is a big deal for him to admit. cuddy is a substitute vicodin to him and takes away his pain and helps him be a better person… anyway this post was actually going to be about me saying there’s parallels in the opening of “how you get the girl” by taylor swift to the scene of house telling cuddy this but i’m now thinking about cuddy being vicodin to house but house taking vicodin cause he was worried about her dying and after she breaks up with him he relapses because of it… god i need to snort hilson and huddy like cocaine!

Brown was a really cool 1930s pulp sci-fi magazine artist. This one isn’t sci-fi, but it still might be my favorite work of his! Which is an odd thing to find myself saying, given that — as longtime readers may have noticed over the 13 years I’ve run this blog — I really like sci-fi art.

i loved midnights when people bashed it. i loved ttpd when people bashed it. and i love tloas while people are bashing it. the cycle will continue but i remain one step ahead
