Railroad: using the Minutemen settlements as safe havens or half-way homes for synths, and provisioners for synth transportation. BOS: exchanging supplies/junk and/or food and water for provisioner escorts and settlement guards. Institute: sourcing people to replace with synths from settlements and using coursers as settlement guards. Minutemen provisioners as spies for the institute like they do for non-affiliated provisioners.

I'm not talking anything crazy OP but just being able to utilize being the General of the Minutemen, as well as a member of another faction.

I think I've seen this talked about in other folks posts, but it would also be useful if you could use your position as the General to help improve Goodneighbor. Not turning it into a settlement per se, not being able to delete anything but being able to provide 'supplies' to unlock upgrades that show up the next time you come back to Goodneighbor. Like better water purifiers or the warehouses turned into apartments for citizens or more furniture/decorations.

I don't think the same could apply to Diamond City for obvious reasons but being able to have a supply line to Diamond City would be cool as well, and the idea being if you see them on the road/in settlement you can buy from them like a traveling salesman who bought things from Diamond City.
