yeah the inevitable endgame of every non-meme playthrough I've seen (mine included) devolves into finding the exact Lumina/Picto build needed to nuke every enemy/boss on the first turn, completely invalidating the actual combat mechanics. then you run into a superboss like Simon or Clea that you can't cheese nuke and it just becomes a slog of reset after reset while you painstakingly memorize the exact animations and parry windows of every single swipe of every single attack, because missing EVEN ONE just one-shots you. game of the year
