I realized that to manage my ADHD, I can’t just have a clean and clutter-free workspace. I have to maintain a clean and clutter-free house and limit my chaos to a dedicated space. This is a horrifying revelation.

lol Wellbutrin was NOT my friend. My prescriber took me off it after two weeks because I was not tolerating the medication and had a bunch of side effects. Plus I’m allergic and broke out in a rash. I’ve been off for two days and I feel so tired

I watched The Intern last night and something I took away from it is to take care of things and maintain things for yourself. Ben is a widower, he's retired, and while he has family he visits his life is largely his own. He dresses well for himself, he maintains his home, prepares real meals for himself, takes himself to the coffee shop. He isn't letting his life degrade then looking for someone else to fix it. He learned to be a whole person on his own after spending his life with someone he loved. He stayed involved and stayed active and found that he is still valuable. His years are valuable, his wisdom is valuable, and his empathy is valuable. It was a sweet movie. And it's a good reminder, also, to be open to advice from people who've lived more life than you and even to ask for it.
