I need a way to tell you how much I love you without actually talking to you. So I'm hoping that one day soon you'll see this. I love you and I'm going to love you for a long time. But I know that I need to move on with my life, which is what I'm trying to do, even though deep down I'm hoping when you come back you'll want to be with me again. I just don't want you to think I don't care about you. I can't be friends with you because I love you too much and need space to deal with things and learn to be happy without you in my life, even though sometimes all I want to do is talk to you. But at the same time, you hurt me a lot and it makes me really despise you. Sometimes all I do is think about things and realise that I don't really know you anymore. I'm torn between the person you were when we were perfect together, and the person you were when things weren't going great. I don't know which one is the real you. But I hope it's the one that I'm in love with. I'm glad you understand that I shouldn't talk to you. I need to move on with my life without you, because you've already moved on with your life without me. I'm doing okay; a lot better than I expected. But I have moments where it's really tough, but that's to be expected. It's hard spending all day revising and not having your bed to look forward to at the end of the day. I miss you so much, and I hope you miss me too. But we've got to get on with our separate lives, at least for now anyway...

The difference between us is that I want to spend all my free time with you whilst I can, whereas you convince yourself not to text me back and not to see me so that when I leave it will hurt less. I wish you'd just let your guard down and let us enjoy the limited time we have together; you're my best friend after all
