“Oh that has been well established,” Peter laughed, since he felt like everyone should know that he had impeccable taste in all matters, but especially women. “You had to take a day off to come? Tsk.” He shook his head a bit and continued smiling. “That is too bad, but I am glad to see you. And outside of work, too.” He chuckled and took another sip. “I’m not that disappointed. I can still see it in here, after all,” he remarked in jest and tapped his temple. Was he picturing that right now? Maybe… it was hard to tell. 

“Well they were a bit reluctant to let one of their best girls go for the night,” AR winked before cocking her head slightly at his comment. “Oh now really? I’m ingrained in your memory that much am I?” Adalia downed the rest of her glass before placing it down on the bar as she wondered whether her was picturing her in her outfits right now. The answer was probably. “So are you having some fun at this here party at least?”

“Let’s remedy that, shall we?” Peter offered and gestured to the man to bring him another drink. “Only just got here, but the place is… well, let’s just say I’m rather speechless.” He smiled at her and then handed her the drink. “There you go. So, cheers, then?” He clinked his glass with hers and took a sip. “Surprised they gave you a night off to come to this,” he teased, since he too recognized her. He’d spent a long time committing her body to memory. Maybe tonight he’d get lucky… he’d just have to play his cards right. “Though, I do have to say I prefer your other outfits.” Ahhh, and there was the smug little smirk. 

“Why thank you,” she appreciated with a smirk, “Any yes this place is... quite something to say the least.” Her eyes glanced around the room briefly before she accepted her glass from the bartender and clinked it against Peter’s. “Cheers indeed,” AR agreed before also taking a sip of her drink. “Mmm very nice. You have good taste sir.” And he did, the drink was delicious. “I just took one of my holiday nights actually, I wasn’t exactly about to pass up the biggest party of the year when somehow an invitation landed in my lap,” she admitted before taking another sip, acting relatively nonchalant about it all. “Of course you do,” Adalia smirked, “So sorry to disappoint you.”

Rose-Marie was technically off the clock, but she was never truly such. Even at a party where Adelaide had invited her to come as a private person, she was keeping an eye on her staff, watching them from the corner of her eyes. Seeing Adelaide be looking like a cougar about to pounce on Aiden though… Well, thank god the boy was plenty ready to handle someone who was more than just a bit of a handful. Adelaide had tired out some of the few girls she’d sent her way after all already. She was enjoying a cocktail, bright pink as she noticed someone looking at her, and she’d never been shy of conflicts. Especially not as the other started to stare harder. So she started to walk towards her. The limp barely noticeable yet, her leg well rested and an effort on her side to ensure she walked to seem as normal as possible, as she walked over to the other. “A photo does last a whole lot longer than staring does, though I wouldn’t give you permission to photograph me. Why are you looking at me like that?”

When the other woman started to walk to wards her without the cane, AR was mentally analysing her, trying to work out what it was for. There was something ever so slightly off about her gate but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it and that annoyed her a little. Adalia liked being able to work people out, it helped at the club with trying to work out what would get her the most tips. “Oh I wasn’t staring, I was observing. There’s a difference,” she retorted. “I was only tryin’a work you out darlin’.”

“God, no,” Ethan replied smoothly to the dusky woman with the smirking scarlet lips and wine-dark eyes that demanded attention through her mask.  He nodded towards the bar as an invitation and led the way there. “I prefer something a lot harder.  Whiskey, please, neat,” he ordered in a clipped English accent and waited for the beverage with attention affixed to the woman at his side. “The anonymity is delicious, isn’t it?  The freedom to do anything … to be anyone … I hope you’re intending to take full advantage of it.  Looking like that, Christ have mercy, you should.  Is that champers going to tide you over or can I offer you something a little more exciting?”

“Good good,” she replied before promptly downing the glass and following his invitation to the bar. “You’re a man who knows what he likes then, always a good thing,” AR commented as she lent against the bar slightly with her elbow. He was definitely right about the anonymity though, it was so freeing and she loved it. “Why thank you,” she acknowledged with a smile. “And I most definitely intend to take advantage of it and enjoy myself if I find the right way to do so. Although something a little more exciting wouldn’t go amiss at all.”
