Uh, why?
It'll be interesting to see what people decide to do with their newly gained knowledge.Â
So now the public knows that demons and all the other crap that comes along with them are real.
I can't wait to see how this plays out.Â

Anya. And donât summon any rabbit here. Not even a small one. Donât you read the papers? This city has already a lot on its plate without you adding fuel to the flame. Itâs not just about me, weâre talking about the safety of the world, and Iâm just trying to do my part here and warn you that what youâre thinking of doing is evil, and if you keep it up heads will roll. Literally, there will be people going after you, and then theyâll slay you for the greater good. It wonât be pretty, I can assure you.
The pleasure is mine, Anya. Of course I read the papers, and yes, I've been keeping up with the situation in London. I'm just choosing to go about my business. I haven't had any problems yet so I don't see the point in concerning myself with the issue.Â
A lesson in magic || Bambi & Giles
He was getting too old for this. Rupertâs body wasnât as fighting fit as it had once been. Youth had left him gradually, as it did all people who lived to put it behind them. The situation in London had done little to ease either his aching bones nor his worried heart. Each morning when he read his newspaper, he was confronted with yet more horrors. The death toll rose daily, the toll of injuries and property damage rose with even more haste. The city was in a panic. Terrorist police had been called in to watch several tube stations and several people had been arrested. None of them had been snake eaters or brachen demons, and certainly none of them had been varell demons. The human world was under threat and they didnât even know why. Their dimension had escaped certain and complete destruction but now pieces of it were destroying itself. What was worse was that they didnât know how to stop it. War only beger war, and violence more violence. Rupert was lost. London was under darkness and he and the rest of the Council were without a bloody torch. He was so deep in his own thoughts that it almost scared what life he had left out of him when he heard the sound of his name.
âRupert Giles.â Rupert spun his head in the sound from whence his name had come. The speaker was tall, dark, clad in dark leather. He had a questionable fashion sense, more than a little bit vintage in its apparent trendiness. The long coat he wore wouldnât have looked out of place on a pirate captain. âYes?â Rupert answered, stiffening as he reached for the dagger in his jacket pocket. Nobody was permitted to go out alone, unarmed in these trying times. Should he find himself under threat, he would defend himself with all the might he could muster, but this man was young and fit, and knew his name. âMight I have a moment of your time?â The manâs voice wasnât threatening, nor hard, but almost⌠panicked? Not quite, not the sort that spoke of immediate danger, but there was a hint of urgency there, something that told Giles this man was not here to threaten him. It was far more likely that in some small way, he wanted his help. âO-of course. Please, uh, follow me.â It wasnât safe to stay on the streets, not even outside the Council building any more. Penelope had been attacked there only recently, and that had been before this all out war had begun. âYouâll forgive me if I prefer we speak in the car? There have been several cases of violence in the area.â At the lack of argument, Rupert removed his car keys from his pocket, opening the door and slipping inside. When the man joined him, he locked the doors after them, clearing his throat. âWho, might I ask, is speaking? It seems awfully unfair play that you should know me and I donât know you.â
Bambi became aware that he had managed to startle the older man almost instantly, his eyes narrowing when Rupert tensed as he began reaching for something inside his coat pocket. He took a small step back, wary of whatever Giles happened to have inside his pocket that he would reach for when he was tense and alarmed by a sudden approach from a stranger.  He was still exhausted from his recent overuse of dark magic and wasnât exactly in any condition to be fighting off any sort of attack, hence why he was here approaching Giles in the first place; to try and figure out why dark magic was so appealing and if there was a way to avoid the overwhelming desire to us it, which always led to using too much and having undesirable after affects.Â
âO-of course. Please, uh, follow me.â It was then that Giles had seemed to decide that he was trustworthy enough â at the moment, anyway â and the tension in Bambiâs shoulders eased slightly. Bambi hadnât realized he had been so on edge, but he hadnât been expecting Giles to be so jumpy about a stranger approaching him either. Â With a silent nod, Bambi fell in stride next to Giles and followed him as instructed. He didnât speak as they walked, not feeling the need to rush out all that he had to ask and wonder about; it was clear that Giles was going to give him the time or he would have told him to piss off right in front of the Council building. Â Â
âYouâll forgive me if I prefer we speak in the car? There have been several cases of violence in the area.â It was then Bambi realized why Giles had been so tense; the recent attacks happening around London. He hadnât been completely oblivious to the dire situation currently happening in London (whatever the papers printed, he knew), and while he knew there was little chance he was ever going to be directly involved with what was going on (he hoped) he assumed as the attacks increased in frequency and the violence became harsher and harsher that it was better to be safe instead of sorry; another reason he was practicing magic with such frequency. Â Bambi became conscious that Giles was probably living with a similar motto.
He nodded once more as Giles mentioned taking their discussion to the safety of his car. âI read about the attacks.â Bambi replied as he opened the car door once unlocked and eased into the passenger seat. He raised one eyebrow, tilting his head to look over at Giles as he spoke. âThat why you happen to be so jumpy?â He questioned, more out of simple curiosity than trying to be obnoxious or to pry. If his information was correct, this man was rather intelligent, especially with magic. Bambi, who believed magic was the answer to all solvable problems, couldn't help wondering why he was so afraid of the attacks.
âWho, might I ask, is speaking? It seems awfully unfair play that you should know me and I donât know you.â
A charming apologetic smile spread out across Bambiâs lips and he shook his head lightly. âAllow me to even the playing field, then. I go by Bambi, but my papers say Sean MacNamus. Itâs your choice of what to call me.â Bambi wasnât usually inclined to share his full name just out of preference for his nickname, but he felt slightly pressured to give the other man some leeway; after all, he was the one who approached Giles out of the blue. Bambi could be arrogant and rude, but he wasn't an idiot either. This man didn't have to put up with him if he crossed a line, and that meant being on better behavior than normal; at least, slightly better behavior.Â
You shouldnât trust bunnies, thatâs all Iâm saying. I wouldnât be surprised if they bit your finger off while performing that trick. Which has nothing to do with magic, by the way. Unless you were actually summoning bunnies and not just pulling them out of some random box with a false bottom. Youâre not summoning bunnies in this dimension, right? There are more than enough of those pesky rodents already.
That's the whole point; the trick is making people believe it's magic. I have yet to try summoning a rabbit although now I'm tempted. However, I feel like be summoning a litter of bunnies would get me on your bad side. Am I onto something there, Miss...?
You really shouldnât pull rabbits out of hats. Or anything else, really. They are more than capable of reproducing at an allarming rate without you helping them, itâs just common sense.
Hm. Are we not fond of a little magic trick, or is it the startling bunny reproduction rate that's a problem here?Â

Oh yes, definitely. Definitely that type of lady.
You trick them by pulling a rabbit out of a hat? Thereâs a lot better ways to trick people, mate.
I mean, not regularly, but it's not a bad trick to use to fool a simple mind. Care to share how you might go about tricking someone, m'lady?Â
Ohhh so mysterious.
Why the heck else would you want to pull a rabbit out of a hat?
If you're the type of lady to find mysterious men alluring, then that's exactly what I am.Â
Well, why not? It's funny to trick people. No need to be a magician to do that.Â

Donât.
Something I said, sweetheart?
crafty-croft replied to your post âcan you pull rabbits out of hats?â
Why would you be pulling a rabbit out of a hat? Are you a magician or something?
Something.Â
Besides, you don't have to be a magician to pull a rabbit out of a hat.Â
can you pull rabbits out of hats?
Sure I can. Everyone can do that.Â

what is your stance on pirates?
The last "pirate" I came across was a little shite dressed up for Halloween who drooled, screamed, kicked and wouldn't piss off until I caved and bought him all the candy he wanted yelled at him.
So at the moment, my outlook on pirates isn't too bright.
