damn i logged on to follow some friends back and see what i’ve missed in the comm & i can’t believe i’ve genuinely been inactive for nearly a year now ?? that’s fucking insane.

#anyways hi this is just me checking in #i dont rly have any intention of coming back ( at least regularly ) so #i make 0 promises #it's just weird? this was such a big part of my life for 7 yrs #i miss writing #■ ooc.

for the past couple of months ive been telling myself that there’s no guarantee i’m leaving this comm. that i’d like to come back. after all, i’ve been here a long, long time, and i’ve always loved roleplaying. taking these characters, canon or otherwise, and adding hours of research and dedication and love to them. my activity always fluctuated depending on whether or not my friends or other partners were active, so my sudden decline in activity wasn’t a new thing.

but honestly? i don’t miss this community at all. over the past couple of years it’s developed into something i’ve come to hate. and for a while i’ve been able to deal with it because of my friends, but now that most of them are gone, there’s nothing keeping me here. and it’s been a relief. logging on and checking my blogs hasn’t crossed my mind in a while, and even when i do it just seems pointless because ... i don’t care anymore. and i doubt too many other people do either.

the comm is, to me, pretty dead. and while i love my few friends who remain, i just can’t bring myself to care anymore. it’s bittersweet, but it’s been a long time coming i guess. 5 years is a long time to be doing this after all.

anyways, it’s been real. maybe i’ll still come back, which is why i’m even bothering to keep these blogs up, but mostly i think i’m just doing it for sentimental reasons.
