After reading a 1200 page book, Moby Dick’s 600 pages are FLYING by. 😅 It’s all about perspective.

C.) Brian Jacques explains what was up with obsession with describing food (and it turns out it was actually an obsession). He was raised during the food rations for WWII and read his mothers cookbooks to sate himself. He also used to be angry when fantasy stories just said "there was a feast" and never expounded on what was actually being eaten and decided to circumvent that when he started writing himself.
