After the drudgery of the February series, a better day today. It was the Budget Day. For me, it was a shorts day, with 7 shorts and no longs. That also meant that I could not make anything in the almost 300 point upmove - in fact, I made a loss during that move.

Day trades from last week. Moved from Mechanical to Discretionary trading. Performance has not improved. Need to get out of this rut soon.

The best thing about this week is that it's over. Was trading quite unplanned, but mechanically.... Trade 1: Short -9 points Trade 2: Short -3 points Trade 3: SAR Long -12 points Trade 4: Long -9 points Trade 5: SAR Short +9 points Trade 6: Short -3 points

Trading is stuck in a rut this month. Need to forget today. Think about trading tomorrow. I modified the Initial and Trailing Stop Losses to focus on Acceptable Regret. Still regretting.

Intra-Trade Drawdowns ruined the day. I keep notching up big MFE's, and then give it all up to book losses. I need profit taking or aggressive profit locking strategy, but am still undecided on the Mechanical Stop Loss rules

Range Compression Trading System - mechanical version continues. The first 3 trades hit their Initial Stop Losses. The fourth trade redeemed a bit. Number of trades have increased since I am now using a more liberal entry criteria. Initial Stop Losses are kept wide.

Back to trading the Range Compression Trading System, this time with 100% mechanical rules. 2 long trades - one profit and one loss. Was a trend day today, and my long entries were late and later.

Momentum Lagging Trading System was intended to catch the falling knife and ride it to profit, but the plan fell though because the knives stalled. The number of trades per day is high, win rate is lower, and average duration per trade is low in this Trading System.

It was downtrend all day. The down move picked momentum only in the last 2.5 hours. No entries for the Momentum Lagging Trading System until 1:10. Then 5 Short entries and 1 Long entry. Missed a good trending day.

Traded Momentum Lagging Trading System. Got 5 trades. I Short trade during the ranging period, that was on for a long time. The other 4 trades were entered when the Market became volatile, and Price began moving.

System Hopped to a new Trading System. I am trying to catch momentum with this Trading System. Today, I just caught falling knives, and not many points. Big losing streaks in February have lost me 156 points from 21 trades.

Today was another day when patience did not work. I took a single Long trade today, and booked a loss of 13 points in it - after being that trade for nearly 4 1/2 hours with a Most Favorable Excursion of 36 points. My mechanical Trailing Stop rule did not allow me to move the SL just yet....

Losing streak has grown big. The drawdown is now 122 points. After a upward spike, market was ranging. Both Short and Long trades were losers. Couple of good long entries were not taken.

System Hopping time. Profits from Range Compression Trading System are stagnant. 3 long trades today, resulted in a minor loss (after brokerage) - 2 of them were Buys at Pivot Highs. Better than the 2 losing days before that.

House Money Effect is the tendency of people to spend profits more easily than other money. In my trades, I treat intra-Trade Drawdowns as House Money. Losing streaks has got me analyzing and justifying House Money.

Drawdown of 90 points from losing streak of 7 consecutive trades. A Long trade and a Short trade gave intra-Trade Drawdown of 72 points. Trading was 100% mechanical. Today even the trade entries were based on mechanical rules.
