#back in the day black sails was REALLY bad#this was 2015 when S2 had just come out and we were watching in “real time” as they say#the correct approach to the season was that Maxanne was endgame and if you shipped Rackhanne that was wrong and anti-woke#well I shipped both because people contain multitudes#but my focus really lay on Anne Bonny x Jack Rackham because that relationship really fit my partner and I#also because I am transmasc and Rackham gives me gender euphoria#so my blog was attacked by Maxanne vigilantes who wanted to see justice in the world and correct everyone they thought opposed their ship#they called my partner and I “self-hating lesbians” (neither of us identified as a lesbian)#amongst other pleasantries#anyway it is ten years later and the children have abandoned ship#they went to OFMD and then left that when something in it offended their sensitivities#so now there is peace in the pirate realm once more#well we still have to deal with the alt-right fuckers that exist in RL pirate spaces#but that seems a more viable fight than bickering about who's morally despicable for shipping the wrong ship

Just started Black Sails. why didn't anybody tell me the series everybody told me was good is good

brain forever rewired by miranda barlow and her setting flint loose like an attack dog on the maria aleyne and charlestown and how she was basically his keeper and guardian for a decade and he was completely utterly Lost and Directionless when she was taken from him

on the topic of black sails let it be known I think the classic "oh the potc cast wouldn't survive a day in black sails" bit is so funny because like yeah absolutely but like do you reckon the fine homosexuals from black sails would do all that hot in potc like girl there's curses

this isn't even to knock their talents and intelligence btw like I think it'd be extremely reasonable if you were say captain flint and you were a reasonable homosexual a clever cookie and you heard someone say "hey did you hear there's a ship with black sails that's crewed by the damned and captained by a man so evil that hell itself spat him back out did you hear about this" you'd reasonably go "fake+L+ratio" and then you'd go and get your shit absolutely rocked by captain barbossa and the bone people now this is NOT because you're not a reasonable homosexual and a clever cookie this is because bone people should by all means not exist but unfortunately you're from black sails on starz and you've been thrown into disney's pirates of the caribbean. where there's bone people

that's not even beginning to mention how most of the cast of potc don't even survive potc like out of the main cast there's a grand total of One person who hasn't died once and even that is debatable do we really think the black sails gang are going to fare that much better

like yeah most of them came back from the dead but we're not talking revival rates we're talking survival rates and they're at an all time low all I'm saying is silver's for sure losing a few more limbs
