and my friend and i were lined up outside the venue and i looked around and everyone was dressed like a freak. dyed and cut hair, undercuts, dressed all in black or all in bright colours and there were 70something people who were holding their kids and grandkid’s hands and teenagers with too much eyeliner and 40 year olds who dug out their old mcr shirts from like 2003 and people with x’s over their eyes and fat folks wearing mesh tops and short shorts and beanpoles swallowed in their too-big hoodies and patch jackets and they were exchanging pronouns and asking about everyone’s lives and talking about their favourite albums and sharing eyeshadow and it got to me. there were all of these people from everywhere and every age and they were all here. they were all so kind. i felt surrounded by people who loved me even though they didn’t know me. it was amazing. for the first time in my whole life i really truly felt like i was in a community, i was surrounded by joy and support and living, breathing, people who were all brought together because of their love for this little rock band from new jersey.

Just look at them.

Acting all depressed

You can just tell that they’re so full of hate.

They want all their fans to kill themselves.

All they care about is sex, money and drugs

And they are obviously a terrible influence on their fans.

Outside of D&D, I am no hero. I see danger and I just turn heel and run. Or at least that’s what I’ve learned about myself this week. The only reason I came in here was ‘cause those ladies came in straight after you. Now, I was too ashamed to be the one who stayed behind.
