Each week, a new murder, injury, or any other form of #damage arises from similar squabbles like clockwork, and I can’t be upset with the process (predictably) producing a negative result.
I mean, what were the expectations? Seriously, if heat brought about a general sense of ‘Damn, someone’s gonna get peacefully schooled today, and absolutely nobody is going to be sadistically ripped to shreds in front of a live audience.’ then yall got a few things to learn about Tumult Dot Rancor, the internet’s primary complaint distributor.
Point two: I could write novels about the frequency of these events. Not just to Sol, admittedly, kind of a magnet for tragedy. I mean, he’s a hot magnet, but also completely prone to delving into some top shelf shit on a weekly basis. Sitewide, someone always has their children dying, or their appendages ripped off, or their relationships ruined because of an absence of emotional maturity unwilling to be altered. Aside from being emotionally exhausting to stay invested in, it’s become normal.
Yeah, I was initially upset about Sol’s death. But now? Wallowing would both be counterproductive and completely fucking useless. Aint gonna resurrect him. Fuck, he’s already back. Aint gonna change anything that happened. Past is a game for time players, and I’m Kokoro Tier. I think we all know that simultaneously lapsing back into a state of intense emotional vulnerability simply for emotion’s sake would only unnecessarily tax the uninvolved.
So ultimately, I got a suggestion here. Let’s all learn from this event, grow from it instead of reverting back into mess at soonest opportunity. That’s my forgiveness, the expectation you’re both capable of change, and getting some damn healthier coping methods, yo.
