Babysitters are supposed to know this stuff...? [Edd/Nazz]
Double D promptly cringed as the books fell all over the place, only hoping now that they wouldnāt get kicked out of the library at this rate. He figured it was best to quickly gather those books back into their stacks again; of course, this only constituted Edd taking his sweet time to position them at a perfect and precise fashion. āI, for one, am resuming my routinely summer reads! I figured a set of 10 books shall suffice this time around.ā
"I believe that if I continue at the rate to which Iām progressing through the books, I shall get 4 and a half done by the end of this week! A slight improvement over my last record, actually." He chuckled to himself, then remembering it was Nazz in his presence; Double D figured she, like the rest of the cul-de-sac, didnāt pursue such a literary path such as he.
"Oh! But an essay, you say? Which one in particular are you writing?"
A smile formed on the blonde's lips as the studious Double D rambled on and on about his reading goals. He was so dedicated to the world of knowledge. She envied it, in a way. Nazz herself would just give up and call the essay 'stupid.' If only she could find the pursuit of knowledge so easy.
Refocusing herself, she stared at the essay prompt in question, as if the printed words might slip up and give her the answer to the essay question. Ā But, of course, no such luck. Ā Bummer.
"The essay is supposed to be about how successful people can still feel unaccomplished. Ā It's weird. Ā Wouldn't, like, successful people always feel totally confident in themselves?"
She hoped Double D might make some sense of it.
