the society “””encouraging””” young people to wait until they are passed the “bloom of youth” to get married, but also barring women from taking part in any of the very limited already things they’re allowed to do unless they are married (such as how young women are not well desired at bethel and you’re not likely to get accepted as a single sister or how only recently did they allow single sisters to go to kingdom evangelizers school)

which of course forces any faithful young witness woman who wants to get further in the organization to start looking for a husband early, so even though you don’t want people getting married too young you’ve set young people (young women specifically in this case) up to fail, even the faithful ones.

and then jumping off that, sticking very strictly to the “no masturbation or sex before marriage” so now you have all of these horny teenagers being told that unless they get married they have to be celibate and then having them rush into these young marriages with little to no experience even being on their own just because they want to have sex and know they’ll be cut off from their family’s if they decide to do so anyway.

not to mention shaming higher education, so most of them not being able to survive on their own even if they do have jobs, and seeing marriage (for some reason) as a savior for that

and then all older witness either completely mocking them for rushing into said marriages or alternatively praising and encouraging these young marriages as if the society didn’t put these children in an awful position to have to get married right out of high school!
