Genevieve Nnaji's “Lionheart” and the brain behind it's musical genius.
By Ngoni-Ali
Genevieve Nnaji plays the savior of her father's company, Adaeze, in Nigeria's first Netflix original "Lionheart." Nnaji includes Nollywood veterans whilst also introducing us to Nigeria's new stars.
Lionheart features brilliant cinematography by Yinka Edward. It nicely highlights dark skin and made notice to every small detail. The movie is definitely a looker and is quite refreshing in comparison to other Netflix originals.
In regards to its plot, Lionheart was in every sense a feel good movie. It featured lighthearted humor and a simple plot. However, I think we all expected something heavier. Nnaji has managed to tackle much heavier roles in her past so naturally, Lionheart was a bit underwhelming.
Despite this, Lionheart had the perfect casting. Nkem Owoh retires his usual role as a villain to help Adaeze save the company. New girl on the block, Jemima Osunde, plays Adaeze's assistant and does an excellent job doing so, but also seemed star struck at the beginning of the movie.
The best part of the movie was it's music. Every scene left me on my toes, wondering which song would play next. Kulanen (Ikyo) is behind this. I managed to get in touch with Kulanen.
How Stylist Brittani Ayana Got Her Start & How She Plans to Grow
By Brittani Ayana
Hey guys! For my “introduction” post, I’ll be discussing how I grew to know what I liked in regards to fashion and how I plan to evolve as I pursue a career as a stylist.
I’ve always been into putting outfits together since Elementary school, but I was never serious about doing it. I’d say “I want to be a fashion designer”, but what young girly girl didn’t say that at some point? I’d “put together” outfits I thought were cute and never thought twice about it. As I got older, I began using the fashion website ‘Polyvore’ to express myself. Before I began working on my personal style, that was where I could be found all the time:

14 Black Fashion Influencers You Need To Stop Sleeping On
By Brianna Yvette
In today’s age of Instagram, Youtube, and Twitter, beauty communities and influencers are taking over. It seems like every month 5 more cute instagram girlies appear and we can’t run from them, and I wouldn’t want to! Thankfully, a lot of these influencers are giving us new pieces to the pie of style and fashion that goes farther than Kylie Jenner and Vanessa Hudgens’ Coachella outfits. They’re bringing more high fashion and designer clothes to the forefront and they actually know how to style them. And.... of course, they’re black women. We’re always the trendsetters anyway. Enough rambling, here’s 15 Black Fashion Influencers who deserve so much more!! (photo: @sarahjoholder)
