BEYBLADE BURST HEADCANONS PART 2!!!

(Check part 1 here! if you haven't already!) i hope this link works omg😭

1. orochi does his cornrows himself! and he taught zac how to do some other protective hairstyles such as box braids and wig installations. zac seems to LOVE installing wigs. orochi lends his head for practice. zac says orochi looks fabulous with lustrous, voluminous hair. orochi doesn't see the appeal but he loves seeing zac happy.

2. wakiya has a suspicious amount of knowledge on makeup. he'll be able to tell you EXACTLY what eye pencil you're looking for, even if you brought him just the pencil shavings. rantaro asked him about it once, having noticed that wakiya's cheeks are tinted an unnatural, peachy colour. wakiya had denied putting on makeup himself, but once word got around that he's got a good hand and eye at it, valt demanded a full beat. wakiya gladly delivered. valt has been using a little concealer and some mascara ever since.

4. wakiya and zac are besties. zac can't drag orochi out of the house too often because of orochi's severe hyperacusis. it's due to that same reason that zac can't yap orochi's ears off too frequently. this is when wakiya comes in handy. they go shopping, get fancy lattes, talk about beyblade... you know, boys will be boys. wakiya taught zac how to do his own makeup since zac is so used to other people doing it for him.

5. orochi and shu are close friends. after their battle in the regional tournament, they found themselves still enjoying each other's company even when the setting is casual. they usually just sit around each other and share a meal. they don't talk too much but they like it that way.

6. valt braids shu's hair when shu's health gets bad. valt initially learnt how to do hair for nika, since their mom doesn't always have the time to help nika do her pigtails. this knowledge became extra handy when shu decided to grow out his hair, but ended up having days where he can't quite handle it.

7. despite what others have said about his artistic skills, valt never gave up sketching for fun, and eventually he got quite good! he started out doodling future concepts for valkyrie but pivoted towards doodling his friends—though not showing them. chiharu found one of valt's notebooks by accident, and valt had a hard time explaining to her why he never took notes in class—but drew shu all over the pages instead. the reason: bisexuality.

8. another valt-related headcanon because i have been LOVING him lately: contrary to popular belief, valt is actually a really picky eater. he struggles with certain textures and hates it when his food is not of the same consistency, so shu taught himself to work around it all, utilizing simple and plain recipes—and a food processor. valt has never disclosed his pickiness with shu. shu just... observed his way through. to be loved is to be known.

9. shu can write in cursive! it was a rigorous process trying to replicate cursive with his left hand, but shu managed to make do eventually. he spent 6 whole months writing exclusively in cursive with his left hand. now, in retrospect, if he tried to piece together what he wrote back in the day, he probably wouldn't be able to—but it's a flex, having mastered cursive with both hands, and generally becoming ambidextrous.

10. when they just just started dating, shu and valt were in a long-distance relationship. with valt residing in spain and shu having a whole team in the united states, meeting up to talk about their feelings was... impossible, to say the least. their first in-person meeting after confessing their love for each other was in the death gran, because aiga was trying to summon the devil or whatever.

BONUS: free is genderfluid and has been on t-blockers and estrogen for almost a year by the time superking happened. you're welcome.

i told him we can stop after beyblade burst god because hating beyblade burst chouzetsu has been part of my personality since high school. and he was like, "yeah okay but i'm having fun, so we can try watching chouzetsu and stop if neither of us enjoys it?" so i said okay, like, whatever you say princess. i let him have it. im a good partner.

we called bullshit at episode 4 when forneus burst and dropped choZ entirely.

now, my husband used to work as a teacher assistant up until a few months ago. they moved him to a different class at the start of the 2025-2026 school year and he'd come home complaining about the children and, being a decent, respectful partner, i listened. obviously.

a few weeks later he's back from work looking absolutely traumatized, okay. like, it's never been this bad before. i sit him down, pour him a glass of coke (we don't drink) and i ask what's wrong, because i've never seen him so jaded. he sighs the longest sigh imaginable, looks me dead in the eye and he goes "ally, this class is so chouzetsu."

delta: "sure, buddy. sure." (does it anyway)
