🔺🔺 Rules of Ratio and Proportion Math in Bengali 🔺🔺

Form of Ratio and Proportion Tricks in Bengali :

1. a এবং b এর অনুপাত =  a:b 2.  দুটি অনুপাত সমান হলে সমানুপাত  a:b = c:d 3.   মধ্যসমানুপাতী --- a:b = b:c   i.e.  a/b = b/c  or b² = ac   or   b = √ac

Rules of Ratio and Proportion Tricks in Bengali:

1. যোগ প্রক্রিয়া  (Componendo) ---- a:b = c:d  হলে  (a+b):b = (c+d) : d হবে । 2. ভাগ প্রক্রিয়া (Dividendo) ---- a:b = c:d হলে (a-b):b = (c-d):d হবে । 3.  যোগভাগ প্রক্রিয়া (Componendo and Dividendo) -----  a:b = c:d হলে  (a+b) : (a-b) = (c+d) : (c-d) হবে ।

Examples of Ratio and Proportion Tricks in Bengali:

1. যদি a:b = 2:3 এবং  b:c = 5:7 হয় তবে,  i) a:c  ii) a:b:c = কত? 2.  যদি 4a = 5b এবং 8b=9c হয় তবে a:b:c = কত? 3.  যদি a/8 = b/9 = c/12  হয় তবে  a:b:c = ? 4.  যদি a:b = 1:3, b:c = 5:7 এবং c:d = 9:8 হয় তবে  a:b:c:d = ?

5. TWO ACTIONS :- __________________

1) এক সাথে ঘটছে  2) একটার পর একটা ঘটছে - এক কর্তা (Same Subject) 3)  ভিন্ন কর্তা (Different Subject)

Examples Present Participles in same subjects:

1)  এক সাথে ঘটছে - এক কর্তা :-     He rode away. He whistled as he went.       He rode away whistling.

2) একটার পর একটা ঘটছে - এক কর্তা :-           He opened the drawer and took out a revolver.       Opening the drawer he took out a revolver.

Examples Present Participles in different subjects:

3)  ভিন্ন কর্তা :-   While I was inspecting the map, the ink overturned.

6. AS/ SINCE/ BECAUSE/ BEING :- _______________________________

Fearing that the police would recognize him he never went out in day light. Being a student he was naturally interested in museums.

7. REPLACE A RELATIVE CLAUSE :- _______________________________

🔺🔺 Rules of Participles in English Grammar

Two types of Participles:

A) Present B) Past

Present Participles form in English grammar - VERB + ING

1. Adjective - Running Water, Growing Crops

2. Continuous Tenses - He is WORKING/ you have been DREAMING/ he was WALKING.

3. Basic verbs of the senses - SEE, HEAR, FEEL, SMELL, LISTEN (TO), NOTICE, WATCH, FIND

I see him PASING my house every day. She smells something BURNING. I found her LYING at the foot of the stairs.

4. Spend/ Waste + Expression of Time or Money + PRESENT PARTICIPLE.

He spends two hours TRAVELLING a day. We wasted a whole afternoon TRYING to repair the car.

Rules of Gerund in English Grammar

Gerund Must Use in Sentence in Bengali

A) GERUND used after certain verbs in Bengali -

1. APPRECIATE + POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES + GERUND

Example: I appreciate your GIVING me so much of your time.

2. EXCUSE, FORGET, PARDON + OBJECT + FOR + GERUND

Example: Forgive me for INTERRUPTING you

3. DISLIKE, LIKE (-ve), DREAD, FANCY, MEAN, INVOLVE, PROPOSE, RECOLLECTION, REMEMBER, RESENT, SAVE, STOP, SUGGEST, UNDERSTAND, INSIST ON, OBJECT TO - POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES/ PRONOUN ছাড়াও হবে ।

Example: He disliked WORKING late/ me/ my WORKING late. I object to PAYING twice for the same thing.

NOTE:

a) THE VERB 'MIND' - INTERROGATIVE/ NEGATIVE Would you mind WAITING a moment? I don't mind WORKING.

b) REGRET, REMEMBER, FORGET - এর সাথে আগের কাজ বোঝাতে GERUND I regret SPENDING so much money.

B) NOUN COMPOUNDS -

NOTE: পেশা, শখ - ইত্যাদি বোঝাতে

Example: School Teaching, Bookselling
