I've only got 10 minutes
Do you ever feel like you don't have time to work out? I've got my hand up. So what can you do about it? Just do one thing really well. What i mean is focus on one area and work it baby.Â
For example, gluts and hamstrings. Focus on squats, lunges, side leg lifts, hamstring curl and box jumps/squat jumps. The jumps will get your heart racing and the rest will help you tone.
If you get another ten minutes in your day, change body parts.
A Fitness Journey - Rebuilding my Body Postpartum
Yesterday was my attempt at a spin class postpartum..... actually it was my first attempt at a spin class in 10 months. I say attempt because it was hard work to keep my legs turning over for 45 whole minutes. I honestly felt like my heart was going to explode out of my chest, beat a few times on the black, filthy spin floor and squirt blood from the arteries until it pumped out the residual blood. Yes, slightly dramatic but that's how I felt.Â
Obviously that didn't happen and the fear of returning to cardio exercise was much worse than the reality. I know I didn't bring my 'A game', sometimes my legs just stopped during a track, but I stayed on the bike and in the class and that was my goal!
Taking it one ride at a time.

The Truth About the Pilates Body
We (Pilates Instructors) are often praised for our 'pilates bodies'; yes we love our pilates and sometimes we do copious hours but the reality is that most of us undertake other forms of training.
Here's how I get my pilates body each week
Cardio - usually 1 spin class plus 1 outdoor running or boxing
3 light to medium weights training sessions
2 advanced pilates sessions
Each session is 30-45mins.Â
The First day of Her Life
My gorgeous baby girl came into the world on 22 June. As a first time mum in her early 30s I thought I was prepared. Little did I know. I won't bore you with the details of all the lessons my daughter taught me, plus I don't want to relive it by typing it out but let's just say I now understand that I'm not in charge. At least not right now.
