There are men of great intellect who see the world from a point of view so accurate. They are self–contained, they are not mislead. They know the truth and this truth is based on facts and reality only. The world is dark, but these people have been enlightened, they wish to share this light with others after all it would give the world color and everything would make sense again, but they don’t. Why? They are not affected by the truth that people don’t know, in other words they are comfortable. Why would a soldier not leave his comfort zone and risk his life on the battlefield to rescue a fellow injured soldier? He’s scared, he’s comfortable and this relates to how humans reason in the real world.  An exemplification of fear vs. comfort is within me. The situation is that Nigeria has the potential to be one of the richest countries in the world because it holds so much oil, but its not. Why? Because the government is corrupt. The leaders let big oil companies such as Mobil and Chevron come into the country, take our oil, refine it and then sell it back to us. This makes no sense because it makes the country suffer more financially but the leaders don’t care because they are bribed not to build refineries by these oil companies so they can make their money. Now, I wouldn’t decide to run for president because I’m comfortable as I am after all I’m doing good financially and I’m scared of the corrupt people that would try to stop me, so why bother? This situation helped me realize the problem in my nation, and I thought to myself why a lot of enlightened people decide not to do anything and it is simply because of their fear of what might happen vs. their comfort.
