in general im not ready to let go of part 2… part 2’s ending was so satisfying and fulfilling—everyone coming together to give kse their essence out of love and selflessness bc of how he came into their lives and changed them with his presence is so urghghhf

and the horrors and lengths kse went to in order to go home just for him in part 3 to land back in the der world with not too much melodrama has me going ??? like ik kse has been thinking about the people he’s met, friends he’s prb closer to than irl friends j bc of the horrific situations they had to go through, and perhaps a part of him was happy to even be back there, but it just feels like a very quick turnaround. I think it’s because there’s nothing to ground us in kse’s world but we know everyone in the der world

^^ EDIT: OH WAIT is it bc this is just a dream???? like sekwang high?? might have to reread the mtl but if that’s the case then it makes sense why kse is so much calmer

also timeskips always make my stomach DROP wdym it’s been three years??? it seems director ho leaving had a huge butterfly effect… esp since we see jin nasol and she’s VERY different from when in daydream. im scared for everyone else now agshhs in three years anything can go wrong… for instance didn’t choi still need to fulfill his promise to the tiger general lest he lose a few body parts??

also now I wonder which characters are still younger than kse agdhjd all the age dynamics r about to shift

finally I mainly made this post to talk about 383!! specifically LEE GYEOL

like holy fuck it’s so heartwarming that kse has inspired him to join the bureau, the org that saves ppl to the best of their ability and the org that represents kse’s own character (versus daydream). he encourages ppl to do MORE good in the world, and in turn, they repay him a good turn. even when smth happens by chance, this is the factor that tips the odds in his favor, such as lee gyeol choosing to trust kse bc he knows what it’s like to be stuck in a ghost story, and how much hope it gives when someone fights for you and gives you a way out.

it’s rly quite inspiring… i just know jin nasol will be the next one to collide with kse and walk away forever a bit altered for the good
