#personally iâm a foggy nelson lover first, human being second
Elden Henson starring as FRANKLIN âFOGGYâ NELSON DAREDEVIL SEASON 1 - 3 | (2015 - 2018)
conjobbedâ:
John snorted softly, somehow managing not to respond with the clear and obvious answer. Ollie was a brilliant shag. Dirty and mean but still bothered with aftercare. You just didnât take a bloke like that for granted. Of course it was more than that but it wasnât something they so much as articulated, so John tried not to think about it. Much.
âSweetâeart, I ainât held down a job in me life. I wouldnât call business and pleasure intricately tied,â John drawled, entirely too addicted by the way Ollie looked at him, as though he were like nothing heâd ever seen in his life. It seemed patently absurd to him, yet Ollie made it seem absolutely believable, if only in the moment. âDonât let me choose,â John laughed quietly as he put down the wine glass, half drained and stepped into Ollieâs space, gripping the collar of the manâs suit jacket as he pulled his closer. âYou know where that ends ups.â
Oliverâs brow quirked as his lips thinned in subtle warning. God forbid a single thread of his suit was out of place. Johnâs hands made fists on his collars and he was dragged closer to his limit. Oh, he was already thinking about the punishment and pleasure he could bring down upon him.
âYouâre greedy, John. Thatâs your problem.â A dark chuckle followed the statement. Fingers slid from the base of Johnâs skull to the thickest part of his hair, gripping softly. Oliver pulled, a wild flash in his green eyes as Johnâs throat was exposed. âBut you like having that choice taken away from you.â He leaned in, breath hot against the soft flutter of pulse on the manâs neck. âDonât you?â

âReally?â John drawled as he shed his coat and draped it over the back of a small, uncomfortable looking couch. Hotel room furniture rarely seemed to be anything more than decorative, making it seem more worth the exorbitant expense. âReckon it might be the other way round. Youâre the one who keeps ringinâ me mobile in the wee hours.â
Nevermind the fact that Ollie had never given John his phone number. He wasnât even sure that the man had a fixed number, unless he was using some kind of generator that randomized his number for every outgoing call. That sounded like something heâd do.
âSo wotâs the score, luv?â John asked as he snagged the glass of wine Ollie had been pouring, grinning as their fingertips brushed. âBusiness? Pleasure? Bit oâ both?â
"And you keep on answering," he replied, relinquishing the glass of wine before plucking another, watching John swirl and smell the red liquid. Traffic streamed down below like fireflies when viewed from the balcony of his hotel room. It was a lonely view.
"Business and pleasure are intricately tied." A step forward and Oliver was crowding John's space, hand on his elbow as he drank the wine greedily. Sweet and sour on his tongue woke him up from whatever trance he fell into every time he laid eyes on John Constantine. He smelled of tobacco and something bright, like the last sparks of sunlight at dusk. âYou know that, donât you? It is only a question of which first.â

He must look like absolute shit if Foggy was being so nice to him. Matt leaned forward and rubbed his eyes, wincing at the sensation of bruised skin behind his glasses.
The thing about crime was that it wasnât something that could be eradicated with enough work, whether it be by the police, an army of well-meaning lawyers, or the diligence of the many, many vigilantes They were all working with every resource they had. What made it difficult were the systems of control that perpetuated criminality. He wasnât naive as to think that a safe and sanitized world was possible, but he did think that one was possible where he wasnât lying awake at night, conflicted over nabbing some kid over a purse snatching.
Since Fisk had been successfully put behind bars, his night shift had become an absolute nightmare. It was an all-out war, with no end in sight. He feared the only way it was going to end was when Fisk re-established control from the inside. It was only a matter of time, and Matt worried that whatever reputation his alter ego had garnered was fairly moot at this point.
âI plead the fifth, counselor,â Matt replied, and it might have been a joke to lighten to the mood if heâd managed to express mirth. Even smiling made his face ache. âSeriously, though, I havenât decided yet.â
âI am rolling my eyes,â Foggy narrated dryly as he piled the papers scattered across their desk in an attempt of productivity. Mattâs lack of his usual easy grin didnât escape his notice. It wouldnât be the first time he felt like he could have done more for his friend, but if he wasnât going to learn martial arts and put on some skimpy spandex Foggy thought keeping him around was the next best thing. âI changed my mind. I think you should stay. Be miserable with us. There is no space left on your face for another bruise but you probably already know that.â
âHere, drink something.â He tossed Matt a bottled water from their old office fridgeâan opportunity he never missed ever since he found out about his friendâs abilities. Itâs kind of awesome and he thought they could use a change of mood. Foggy settled back down and began to pore over the document they would need for their next hearing, occasionally reading it out loud for Mattâs convenience since they havenât managed to make a braille copy.
âArson,â he remarked. âI donât think this is related to Fisk but the defendant is young with a smell of that absent parents spirit. What do you think? Karen would want us to take it.â

@ayesquireââ said: âMatt. Matt, wake up.â ( foggy | ayesquire )
It didnât take much to wake Matt up, and Foggy knew that. His voice wasnât too loud and there was a light pressure on his arm. No shaking, though, so he supposed he hadnât been out that long. Small miracle. He sighed and straightened in his chair, removing his glasses briefly to rub his sore eyes. They felt dry and itchy, not from any outward irritant, but from lack of sleep.
âAh, sorry, Fog,â Matt replied, replacing his glasses before giving him a wan smile, pleased that he didnât wince at the sensation of the skin pulling around a healing cut on his lower lip. âHad a rough night.â
Rough week, rough month, rough year. It sounded like a poor excuse and he wished he had something better to tell him. When it was rough it was never about the difficulty of the fight or trying to stop a particularly formidable foe. Supervillains, criminal masterminds, and serial killers were easy. It was the low level thugs, petty thieves, and people in crisis that really got under his skin. He was righteous, but he was no zealot. Matt knew damned well how much crime was due to extraneous circumstances rather than some sense of moral ineptitude. The guilt plagued him more than any satisfaction that he was making the city any safer.
Foggy kept his voice low, not out of secrecy but as a courtesy for his friend. He looked awful, like a shirt thatâs been worn for three days in balmy weather.
"You sure you don't wanna go home, buddy? Karen will be back soon." She had left when Matt was still asleep, declaring that she needed fresh air and coffee. Where she was going to get good coffee at 10 pm was perhaps a secret she will keep to herself. Foggy was just glad that he could partake in her efforts.
With Fisk behind bars there were a lot of cleaning up to do. In legalese it meant more work than he could have ever dreamed of with only about a quarter of the money. It didnât bother him as much as some people think he ought to be. He pushed his long hair back, wishing he had a hair tie.
"This is gonna be another all-nighter." Foggy hesitated, working his jaw as he thought about what he was going to say next. Out with it. Matt would be able to tell if he didn't say anything anyway.
"Hey, if you go home are you just going to go out again? As..." He lowered his voice this time as if scared he would make it true. "...as Daredevil?"
Who the hell are you guys? Iâm Matt. Heâs Foggy.
